    Matthews played like a RB at RM. He is a talented player and his hard running was superb but he didn't always get in good positions and his final ball let him down.

    I would like him to play there all the time personally and I would see it as a natural evolving of his game. To step in there against a top European side and look as good as he did isn't easy.

    I wonder if he was still feeling the knock? His delivery is usually brilliant. Last night it was sub-par. He put the * right up them right enough.

    The run where he skint about four players was superb.

    Did the exact same against Hearts on Sat.

    He is a great runner, but he does need to work on his delivery. That should be his main focus in training now. He could be an excellent European-quality player should he develop his passing.

    Matthews didn't even need to get out of 3rd gear to beat that Muntari, if only his final ball was better the outcome would have been very different

    He is one * of an athlete, I think he did a good job last night. Final ball did let him down but AC couldn't handle his pace and power. An absolute steal of a signing.

    He was brilliant up until the final ball, also kept going down the line and Constant started to read him. Forrest would have given him a torrid time.

    He's only back from an illness. Only played because we needed him. Formation didn't suit us attacking from wings either. Look at izzy. Don't think he put in a single cross. Couldn't manage much though with the ball at his feet. Did alright when played at right back after lustig came on
