Adam Matthews

He finally attacked with freedom again, hes capable of doing it all the time but when played at right-back seems scared to attack.

His two best game have come when not playing as a right-back, today and the one aganst Inverness I think it was where he set up 3 goals.

 

Nah he still hasn't scored for us. Has 8 assists this season though

 

could be a good shout for right midfield role when lustig is back and broony etc cant play there

 

Motm for me outstanding today.

 

Outstanding. He's always been our best RB for me until recently when Lustig has played very well. it seemed Lustig had made the RB slot his own and then Matthews pops up with a performance like that.

 

Both Matthews and Brown were quality today

 

Matthews played excellently today. The competition at right-back is great to see.

A lot of clubs find it difficult to find real quality at left-back and right-back but we have managed to unearth some gems. It's fantastic scouting. Matthews is going to be a class act.

 

We have got one of those really good problems at right back atm. Fantastic to see and gives Lenny a headache

 

MOTM for me, had an excellent game. Killie couldn't handle him at all.

Great performance today. I'd also play him at right-mid in home SPL games if Forrest isn't fit. Teams just sit in and we can't get by them, Matthews would be able to run at defenders and get behind them and put balls into the box.

Agreed about his performance. However, I don't understand the idea of playing him at right mid. I'm more hoping we see more of the kind of formation we saw today for the majority of the domestic campaign. With Broony and Ledley pushing on, with the two wingbacks pushing on, I loved what I saw today. Let him attack, but let him do it from RWB.

 

So would I. He has played on the wing before for us amd played well.

 

Last time he played right mid he set up three against Caley Thistle.

 

the guy is quality, dont know how dave jones could let him go for free.
