    I think it was a masterstoke btw by lenny to put him at LB, he knew that barca when they go wide usually try to cut inside and dribble into the box which suited matthews as hes obviously stronger on his right side, he actually forced barca to resort to crossing the ball in which they rarely do.

    Master stroke by Lenny as Messi likes to cut in on the left, and he found himself up against Matthews strongest foot. I wonder if Lenny will keep Matthews in there now ?

    Dived in at exactly the correct times, but never dived in stupidly.

    Probably his greatest display in a Celtic jersey - even if at times he backed off to much from that brazilian * at right back ....I genuinely cannot remember his name at this time :56::56:

    I'm not picky.
    Think tonight was one of the best performances from Matthews. Made a couple of superb tackles in the box to stop Messi as well. Was a bit wary before the match when I saw him being played at left-back, but he looked as natural in that position as he does at right-back.

    A young guy but seems to have a very mature head on his shoulders.

    Got a bright career ahead of him :50:
