Played decent but he was only up against Lee Wallace, whos like Whittaker with no skill, an utter dumpling. He'll have harder games to come

 

I never saw the game but ive been very impressed with him so far since his arrival. Loving the comments from AwesomeCaz on his performance tonight. Lennys getting to know who his hunskelpers are in this squad and the bhoys shown a steady progression with each game and it'll be interesting once Lustig comes onto a game.

 

He is a very good player, and I hope he is here for the next few seasons.

Great engine, fantastic pace and good on the ball. Everything you need in a modern day full-back.

 

great to see that back line tonight, i wasnt nervous once, like i am when cha and maj are playing. Matthews looked good. Rogne, charlie and joe were superb. We have Izzy coming back and big victor can play there too. Things look a whole lot better.

 

He was up agaonst tht big streak of * laugherty and hes far taller

 

His potential is scary. Hard to judge but this lad could become a world-class full back.

 

everton are broke so it doesn't really matter. Matthews is here for the long haul. I think he will be our right back for many years to come.

 

Got to be honest here..................

I've seen people raving about Adam Matthews on here all season and I've been thinking 'he's done alright but nothing special' well..........last night I thought Adam Matthews was superb! I thought he really stood out. This boy is a player.

I am now a signed up Adam Matthews fan. Top class performance last night.

his performance last night was top notch, consider that it was his first game in a few weeks too makes it even better. his composure and all round skill just makes him far too good for someone of his age. buzzin to get izzy down the left and matthews down the right.

 

Gets his head down, puts in 110% and does his job well.

What more can you ask for?

 

Matthews positioning since the start of the season has came on 10 fold. He was relying on his pace at the start of the season but now his starting position is excellent and with how fast he is he will always get to the ball.

His slide tackles have been excellent, going forward is where he truly shines though. Massive, massive potential from Adam.

well done matthews! i forget how young our team is at times and how profesionally they handle themselves.

average age of the celtic team last night was 22.7 with sammy and brown being the 'veterans' at 26.

 

Nothing get's past him and good going forward, man of the match for me last night.
