he was worse than poor he was embarrsing.

 

I think it is a bit unfair to say he was pish. Him and Mcgeady struggled on the surface. That said, he is not a solution nor can he add to the strength of the team so thats that. Sometimes players dont just fit into the system. I think he is genuine enough and he was obviously trying today, regardless of what brown/hately were saying, but I think for all parties concerned, the quicker he goes the better.

I thought Laursen played well today, and watched his line outs better than against the huns. He and Bobo must have had MON orders to charge, as for a minute I thought BObo was playing up besides BJH!

When we beat the well on saturday, we will be 6 points clear and the huns will ahve to go to Pittodrie * themselves. lol

 

didnt think juninho done brillantly the day,done well in the first half,but wasnt really involved at all second half,definitly though sutton deserved man of the match,he played really really well the day,same way stan the man,and laursen had a gd game,but anywayz,got the 3points,well done bhoys!

 

Sounds to me like the only reason Juninho was in the team was because Thommo was out suspended. When I saw that Juninho had got a game I thought Martin had decided to give the wee man a run in the side but maybe he was just a stop gap for the one game. From the sounds of things it's just as well!

How did you all think McManus played in the Dons game? Also, it sounds like Ulrik Laursen is really starting to find his feet again in the Bhoys line up.

I agree mcmanus played well as did laursen (check out last weeks thread) bobo was better today but aberdeen really offered nothing. still dont think that this is a defensive line that will take us much further than spl

I think Laursen should keep his position until such times as we buy someone with better quality...As long as Laursen maintains current form that is. if Joos was fit, I would keep him on the bench behind Laursen anyday looking at both of their form of late.

I think Laursen needs to be more positive in his outlook though and a bit more assertive in the pitch. I saw the setanta interview and he was talking himself out of a job. He needs to be saying that he is the best player in the asquad at that position! Whether he is or not is irrelevant.

 

he looked positive enough to me yesterday ran 3/4 of the pitch with ball he got fouled at the end of his 2 runs though, agathe should take a leaf out of his book.

Agathe is a big guy with amazing speed, but he bottles it every time.

Bobo & Ul obviously were given calvary orders yesterday to frighten the living day lights out of the Aberdeen defence and by all accounts it worked as Sutty and Lennon (who I think possess the best skills in the Scottish game for being able to read a match) covered when they went forward.
