I may be a bit premature here but fingers crossed Manchester City will be playing Aalborg in the next round of the UEFA Cup. I just booked flights for a bargain £17 return all in with Ryanair. Now the hard bit is getting hold of tickets. How many tickets did Celtic get this year? and did anyone manage to get any tickets from Denmark?

Getting tickets is the really hard bit mate.
their stadium is tiny and Celtic were only given 800 tickets, with most going to Thomas crook so they could run match packages etc. -

Aye that was just like the flight I booked to New York with Ryanair. They said I'd land just outside of New York. We landed in Dublin. :icon_mrgreen: -

Deportivo 1 - 3 Aalborg -
Wonder what all the wise arses in the media and the few among our own support who thought it was a disgrace at the time, think about us losing to Aalborg now?! Seems they weren't quite as much of a numpty team as everyone made them out to be. Beating Deportivo 3-1 IN SPAIN is a phenomenal result. If we did that I know we'd all be goin * mental!
Perhaps it's a lesson for future seasons that when we don't get the results we think we should, not to get too 'doomsday' about it. Sometimes we write teams off as rubbish without knowing all that much about them. I think Aalborg have shown tonight they're far from being a bunch of numpties. And we outplayed them home and away remember. We should look at a result like Aalborg got tonight, take encouragement from it and hopefully do the same ourselves next season. :celt_2: -
Worth the gamble getting the flights booked now the hard bit is getting the tickets. Although I am a season ticket holder I havent been to many away games so I wont be at the top of the priority list. Ive put a few feelers out at tonights game so its fingers crossed. Worse comes to the worse I will still watch it in a pub in Aalborg and have the crack with the City fans. -
Just saw the highlights of our game with them on Celtic TV. * me we pummelled them, didn't we.
The amount of chances we created was unreal. Didn't deserve to lose that match IMO. Caldwell went on some run and almost scored lol. -
kenny ive just saw this,,sorry m8,

6-1 v Depor is remarkable result and clearly suggests Aalborg are not as bad as they appeared to be. Reminds me a bit of Basle years back - the abuse I got when they knocked us out of the CL on away goals - but they went on to prove just how decent they were in the CL (knocking out Liverpool I recall) and we of course redeemed ourselves by getting to Seville (also knocking out Liverpool!).
