Celtic needs ONE defender... I thought it was a left back, but the back four were so disorganized today it was terrible. I thought we had the Captain on defense... I dont know of anyone on the pitch that deserves the arm band after today other than perhaps Robson.

st. mirrin would have put up a better firht to hold onto their lead than we did tonight

MONmay have had something wrong with hos tactics and pychology away from home but you would expect that the first thing that WGS would do would be to sort it out :31:

Those who say we were mince should away and jump. Thats nonsense. But I agree naka and Skippy were knacked, and naka slid further and further into oblivion. Every one of his passes from the 50th minute on was back or to the side, no attack minded play - he should have come off earlier. Bringing Wilson off for maloney was daft, i thought he had a good game, and in the 88th Minute - * sake!

But im not going to demand WGS head. With the team he selected, we should have won. We were good enough to win. It was just....nae luck.

But I am absolutely sure that was the Huns last chance to win the league gone - once they realise that (might take a while given the * synapse speed of your average Hun), they will be bricking themselves.

If the board dont spend some cash in January (as I have said in other posts), then we can rage.

keep the faith bhoys, trebles still on!

    Exactly.

We bring on a rookie in a win or bust game? What a joke. That's Strachans fault, why? Because he had money in the summer and bought * nobody.

Playing a CB in DM? Whose fault is that? Strachans fault, he didn't have enough cover. Crosas wouldn't be expected to start, so the only DM we really have is Hartley, so therefor, not enough cover.

If we can't beat this lot, we don't deserve to be in the competition.
They were no better than St Mirren or Motherwell and we were beat by them. I don't accept when we lose to either of the above two, so I certainly don't accept this as a 'hard luck story'

Sam had a shocker yes but wgs's decision to put on maloney on 89mins is to me is criminal,he is clearly one of our more creative attack minded players, yet he puts on the baby gazelle sheridan who personally confuses me as to how he has become a pro footballer, cannot run, tackle, head, maybe in time he will come good, but tonight was not the night to throw him on

I think it just shows that we are a third tier team at the moment. Let's not delude ourselves about where we are in the world ranking. Again we were VERY unlucky, but we also need to strengthen for next year to progress in Europe next year.

Not the end of the world, by any means. Keep the faith. And please don't start more WGS GTF threads....

Not the end of the world. Disappointing all the same.

I think we were unlucky as * our first couple of seasons but after 18 odd loses in a row, we can discount 'luck' as a major factor in our away form. You don't toss a coin & land heads 18 times in a row. It's psychological, we sabotage ourselves/bottle it/panic/don't believe.

PS. Aaolborg fans: talk about only singing when you're winning. Outsung by 800 of us

your right we lack mental toughness but this is a young team that wont reach its peak for 4 or 5 more years.

people were excited right after the group draw and said the two games against aalborg were a walk in the park. looks like it was indeed a walk in the park - for them.

    embarrassing result. thanks for nothing

What about the players who were a disgrace to the jersey? There is no positive in getting shafted by a team of cloggers from some backwater.

Big Sammy has just had a operation and it will take time for him to get his fitness back. Naka is apparently playing with an injury.............WHY is this being allowed to happen? McManus and Hinkel were just crap tonight. As for Loovens..........not convinced

I felt sorry for Caldwell and he must be gutted. To have to play out of position and then have the ball come off him into the net must have been dire......he couldn't have known anything about it.

I can't believe WGS left Maloney on the bench until about a minute to go :31: Jeez he would have been better than Caldwell and I believe could have changed the game. In saying that big Gary tried his best. Yeah I agree Robson, Broony and Caldwell stood out for me to.

Ah well we need to concentrate on 4 in a row so that we definitely get back in next year.
