I'd like to put to the main negative crowd on this thread - how would you feel if we won the SPL this year and maybe snuck in a cheeky cup?

 

No we weren't. We were lucky to draw imo.

They were all over us, they deserved to win and should have with Berba's chance.

 

No The teams not acceptable in Europe. Teams like Porto and Fenerbache are better than us now and getting better every year whereas we get worse with the amount of money we spend

But if you don't think they deserved that, you're deluded. What was the possession at full time ?

what was the shots at goal stats etc...

they * dominated the match and for you to say we were unlucky not to win is literally funny.

United had 30 shots, we had 6. they had 13 corners, we had 4. They had 73% of possession, we had 27%. If that isn't domination, I don't know what the * is.

 

It's not unlucky if they thoroughly deserve to score.

if a team dominates a match from start to finish and loses 1-0, That's unlucky.

 

Being the biggest spending and arguably best playing team in the world right now I feel * hard done by leading for 99% of the match. Our effort was phenomenal.

 

IN all honesty,Celtic for the last 2 years through being in the champions league have had twice as much money to spend on players than the huns and take the club to the next level.out of sight of any competition in scotland.We are fukin struggling to beat Hamilton caley thistle and the likes,injuries beside our reserves should be beating the afore mentioned.we get the 3rd highest attendances in the uk every second week,we have more season ticket holders than any othe club in the uk bar man utd,that money is guaranteed every fukin year,yet the board are quite happy to sit back and make us watch this * week in week out,we dont have an out and out striker who can win us big games they are second rate,instead of building what we had i.e larsson,sutton,hartson,petrov we have been set back years its a fukin disgrace.Yes we have won the last 3 titles,but agains what.Are we years ahead of the huns are we *.If we dont spend decent money in January and get the basics right we deserve everything we get.ffs aalborg 110,000 population,ground capacity 14,000.what a fukin joke.

I thought we played reasonably well, although the game was scrappy at times, and we deserved to win. Missed chances in the first half cost us and I feel sorry for Caldwell.

 

In this post you've shown a complete disregard for the quality of the SPL (and let me throw in that against those sides we were injured to * and still got results), you've shown a complete inability to grasp the financial situation of us compared to England, you claim we are made to watch "*" week in week out when this is one of our best footballing sides we've had in the past 2 decades. You claim McDonald and Vengoor are second rate and can't do it against the big sides but if i recall correctly Venegoor got a crucial goal against a Man United side verging on European Champions and McDonald got the winner against an AC Milan side who were either Champions of Europe or were to go on to be that.

You've highlighted Larsson as a player we've failed to replace and obviously by this point I'm starting to wonder. You've pointed out we've failed to replace Hartson and Sutton who were £6 million a pop. What would you have us do to improve? Have us spend £7 million per striker?

Finally - you want to spend big in January? For what exactly? How are we to improve on a 11 match win streak? We could go to January still winning every single game and apparently by your logic, failure to spend in that window would be a disgrace?
