I was musing over this myself, how many times especially away from home have celtic threw games away due to there heads going down and panic setting in.

Towards the end of last season the showed great character but in europe its like there a different team, i wonder if the coaches should start trying to implement mental training sessions.

Clockwork orange springs to mind lol

Couldnt * beleive it. But after missing the 2 chances at the start of the game i felt as if we had blown it.

Thoght the team definatly played well. My only problem is we should of had maloney on from the 75th minute if not the start.

And i really hope that sheridan goes get to *, why is everyone going on about him? hes pish. he nearly missed a tap in at the weekend and couldny even play a throgh ball the other night without kickin it oot the park.
I could serious play better than that streak ay pish.

I thought Caldwell had a brilliant game last night. I thought the team selection was fine. Only when it went to 1-1 I thought Maloney should have went off and i'd have weecht Samaras off after about 25 mins.

YOU CAN'T SAY THAT ABOUT SHERIDAN!!! HE'S IRISH!!! :56::56:

I agree with you mate. What age is he though? I think he should put on a wack a muscle and try and become a big Hartson type. He's not a fOOtballer for sure.

We have decent players, but they have a mindset that is blocking their abilities, away from home.

We aren't under achieving, it's just that we have got used to punching above our weight. The only difference with this CL campaign is that we got no luck from the start.

If 1. and 2. happen, the new manager will switch the play to defensive, and we will turn out very bad. No creativity, something like the Huns. Martin will be happy, because our midfield will be full of grafters.

We could improve, if it wasn't for the stingy board.

    I am * distraught!!!!

I am * distraught. Winning away from home in this competition is never ever going to happen, I would have kicked nakamura and samaras,s nuts at half time big style, big time bottlers, and a dont give a * if anycunt comes on here and slates me for slating the players.

Last night was shocking, abysmall, shambolic, not unlucky, degrading, unacceptable, embarrising, and we are the laughing stock of european football!!!!! FACT, We are * mince big time and i have 2 tickets for the villareal game that should be ripped up, because i dont know if i could go and watch this pish!!!!!!

Fist of all i could see as you could all see samaras needed took off within the first half hour he was terible and didnt look as though he should have been on the park inj the first place!!!! Strachans tactics were horrendous deploying gary caldwell in midfield was a dissaster, he has no * pace, he got ran ragged against st mirren what the * is gordon strachan thinking playing him there in a european game???? Nakamura was * again last night:38:,,, get to * back to japan we dont need you!!! A blame the players and the manager we were a discrace did you all see the state of us, We were * slowing down the play at 1-0 up when that team were there for the taking!"!!!!!!!

I am just not happy at all if we couldnt beat that team who were no better than st mirren what chance have wer got??? NO * CHANCE!!! Come on people i was 2 when we last won in this compotition>>>> Not * good enough. Strachans tacticts were shocking i was screaming at the tv like a possesed maniac for a change whithin the first half hour,, imagine bringing on maloney to save the game at 88 mins>>>> ffs very bad management!!!! he * should have been on 30 mins earlier!!!!!

I really really feel sorry for our fans who spend thousand and thousands of pounds a year to go and watch that *!!!! Will our first win ever ever come away from home???? imo not with that wee ginger * in charge and a dont give a * if he bringts us 4 in a row this year he can bring us 10 in as row,m , But it will be against poor rangers sides. FFS a could have managed the team to 3 in a row. So could any other manager out there:50:

The facts are we have struggled to beat st mirren and had 2 shots on goal against hamilton, were very lucky on 2 occasions to reach the last 16, have no left back, our bewst defender is bobo and has been rotting in the reserves, glen loovens should have joined the monkeys, and some thing needs done because we are a poor poor team, mon,s team would tear this team apart without henrik, Thats saying something:rolleyes: Were do we go from here????????????

The whole of europe is laughing at us!!!!!!!! Maybe its time to call in john collins, tony mowbary or john hughes who imo has done a great job at falkirk, they would be rotting away in the first division aboot 3 seasons ago if it wasn,t for him. good manager that will kick the players arses. That team last night were there for the taking and half of our team didnt look interested they looked like * scared wee pigeons!!!!!!

A HOPE THE MANAGER * WALKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes we do. Look at Samaras first chance, how * good was that cross. who else in the team could have crossed that ball so perfect like that ?

In fact, who else in the team would have had the vision to even see the cross ?

I agree with everything about Strachan though, especially the part about O'Neill's team.

Since last night, I've been on the main Liverpool and United forums, and I'm sorry to say, but they're laughing at us.

they've even got a thread called lets all laugh at Celtic.

I hold Naka responsible for that miss, but he's still very much needed. If he goes in January, kiss goodbye to 4IAR. For 5IAR, we need a new no. 25 if he leaves.

I think the entire team played well last night, with the exception of Sheriden and Samaras which is unfortunate what with them being strikers.

Particular highlights for me were Wilson, Hinkle, Nakamura and Robson all who I thought were outstanding.

We played well enough to win and considering the sitters we missed and the semi-chances that Aalborg put away we can rightly feel hard done by. If you watch Samaras's first chance where he slid in, watch the bounce the ball takes before it gets into the box. I thought it was horrible and completely wrongfooted Sammy. Also Nakas chance took a horrendous bobble just prior to strike. Ach either way they both arguably should have been put away.

I think Sheriden has proved hes out of his depth but its hard to fault the guy as he has always put in 100% effort even if that means ahem, making mistakes and losing the ball. He's very direct and attacking and has a great mentality but last night proved his technical ability is lacking.

P.s. People calling for Strachans heads are plainly retarded. Get. A. *. Grip.
