The worst thing about this is the whole of Europe will have a laugh at our expense and not having european football come january wont be much of an incentive for bringing in players.

Absolutely baz. Freedom of speech. You've never seen me? You should have! I'm a legend in my own lunchtime.

Anyway, my comment is what it says. some people ONLY post when things are bad. Not saying that's you. Just an observation. True all the same.

Tonight was not the worst we've had in recent years - let's face it money is the big problem, and doesn't look to be ready to improve quickly. quiality is linked to that and unless we get lucky with value for money like we did in Henke and Lubo then i don't see that ready to changes dramatically any time soonm. I still think some of the dirge-singers here should get a wider persepctive on things. Vennegoorstrokes has much to say that is worth klistening to on this matter.

Unless they were cup tied, they would.

Samaras played last year against Barcelona.

    Stopped reading there tbh.

With the exception of Boruc, I'd take O'Neill's team any day of the week.

    Agathe is better than Hinkel.

Mjallby, Valgaeren and Balde were better than Caldwell, Loovens and McManus.

    Petrov is better than Brown.

    Lubo is better than Nakamura.

    Larsson is better than McDonald.

    Sutton is better than Jan.

    Hartson is better than Samaras.

Lennon under MON was better than under WGS. ( but that's only because he was getting older ).

Alan Thompson had more end product than Aiden McGeady ( but I think McGeady has the potential to be better than Thommo ).

    Lambert is better than Hartley.

Just realised, who would have thought a few months ago, that Kaunas beating Rangers would have been the worst possible thing to happen for Celtic's UCL hopes.

I know that after results like this lots of ridiculous things get stated but you just have to sift through the bull to find genuine logical reasoning which most of us here generally do have.

    Complete Disaster

And the losin streak continues - it's gettin pretty embarassing. Everybody's talkin about it, and the more they do that, the bigger a problem for us. We'll get ourselves into winnin positions again then realise we're on course to break the habit and freak out again like tonight.
I just feel sorry for the guys who, in my opinion, showed effort and wanted to win tonight - although it has to be said one or two were a wee bit off at times - Boruc, McManus, Wilson, Brown, McDonald and especially big Gary Caldwell. What a performance he put in. He played out of position for the whole night, picked up the slack from Loovens' numerous mistakes, and still managed to pose an attacking threat. Best I've ever seen him play for the Hoops. Shame he won't be doing it again in Europe after Christmas.
I don't even want to talk about how pitiful Samaras' performance was.

YEah, I respect the opinions. The problem i find is too much of the ridiculous over the top hysterical neurotic knee-* stuff and not enough of that genuine reasoning.

As I sat, let's agree to differ, but i think you can see my point as much as i can see yours. Even if we don't agree. Right?:50:

    is this team acceptable?

this seasons team looks a shadow of what we once had in bygone years, do you think we have a good enough squad for the likes of a worldwide renowned club, seems to me that Celtic FC ARE UNDER ACHIEVING in Europe,
