Having come from a Wolves/Celtic family I had to be at this game! My grandfather and father were born in Glasgow and had watched Celtic many times over the years - and I consider myself a Celtic supporter too.
It wasn't my first trip to Glasgow but it's the first time I've been in the ground and I loved it. I can only imagine what it would be like to be there on derby day packed out because I loved every minute of it. The Celtic supporters were great and very friendly, I had chance to chat to a few in the pub and they seemed to respect Wolves too which was nice.
On the game itself - it was a typical friendly I guess and the 2-0 scoreline flatters us somewhat, you were unlucky with the own goal and our keeper pulled of a few good saves. Wanyama looks a great prospect! It's hard to give any real meaning to it, as Celtic played a few reserves/trialists and we are definitely still in build up mode with the league still a few weeks away.
A quick note on the '* save the queen' incident - I did not witness this and I only heard this morning when I arrived home. If true then I am glad they were refused entry, especially as Celtic supporters were so welcoming to us.
I am dissapointed that we weren't at our best in creating an atmosphere - usually our away support is really vocal, but I will put this down to the nature of the game! I would much rather have sat with the GB.
I know a lot of Wolves fans have come away as Celtic fans too and the majority will be wishing Celtic Football Club the best of luck in the league this year - thanks for a great day out!

I was at the game last night.
Glasgow by far has to be the best city ive visted for a long time. It was perfect. Red hot weather, beautiful women!
Had a few drinks in the City, had a walk round, enjoyed the whole day.
Visited the Bairds Bar which ive been wanting to do for years.
Glasgow has the best women in the world - FACT! -

Good stuff, man.
Wolves are my English team of choice and would have loved to been able to make it along to the match. Glad you enjoyed it :50: -
Hail hail! :celt_2:

Cheers for coming on to post, mate.
I think there is a fair bit of respect for Wolves from the football fans round here. People recognise a club with a history - like Celtic, one of the best club sides in the world back in their heyday. And also, the lack of top flight success in our own era means you haven't attracted the gloryhunters, which makes it a lot easier to warm to your fans.
All the best for this season... -

Nice post Wolves FC and welcome. For me I was happy Wolves stayed up last season. I have always been a big Mick McCarthy fan both as a player and a manager. He really is one of the most honest and genuine guys operating at such a high level of the game. Good luck to Wolves this year. Hopefully you can move up a few spots in the table.

Great post mate. Thought the Wolves fans were great last night and helped to create a decent atmosphere for a friendly. Loved when they joined in on JCGE. Also like to make a point that the Wolves players were very nice after the game in signing autographs and taking photos. I was lucky enough to meet O'Hara, Doyle, Hunt etc. Good luck for the coming season.
Also, what was the story with Malmo fans? -
Good post mate. Wolves would be english team to support with big mick in charge. Confident that wolves will stay up this year with a couple of decent signings. Hail Hail:shamrock:
