It means that the majority of the Scottish population aren't interest in the rivalry and biggotry between the old firm.

Alot of people seem to think if you say u hate rangers the reason is because u hate protestants. Theres been a few post talking about having 1 catholic and 1 protestant parent and being taught not to hate anybody over their religion. It's totally missing the point. I HATE rangers but it's because a majority lof their support are sectarian bigots. As i said in a previous post i don't hate every single rangers fan, there a some decent ones but the club and support as a whole i * despise. Please be clear, just because u hate rangers doesn't make u a bigot. The opposite in fact, u can hate them because they are the bigots!

I love the rivalry and the passion from both sets of supporters but when things go over the top thats were i draw the line. Im a protestant and know and like a lot of catholic people and like rangers fans. We slag each other but thats football and nothing else. We are both united when scotland play and when there are problems we all come together because everyone knows individuals are stronger when they have people surrounding them. * bless ally and walter

    Let the people sing,
Looking around on other R*ngers forums now and again makes me realise that they cling on to the religious hatred ALOT worse than what Celtic fans do, without a doubt. I have never hated them as a religious rival and i know very few fans who do. The thing i hate that surpasses it as a normal footballing rivalry for me is more for their love of * Britain & their beloved Crown - when they are really Scottish. Wallace, Bruce et al would turn in their grave if they saw them.

-Edit; And also the BJK pish.

I guess its worth noting in here that I think that football would be a lot more boring WITHOUT Rangers.... I have to hand them that. They're fun to have around, just as rivals... I love the OF games, except for when we lose of course! Just think of Scottish football with just Celtic in Glasgow... What a boring picture.

I very, very, very, very, very, very, strongly dislike Rangers. Nothing makes me happier than stomping up and down on a union jack and a Rangers jersey and then burning it all. But I don't hate other PEOPLE just because they support another fitba team.

I don't HATE Rangers. But I really really HATE bigotry, and that's coming from either side of the divide. I have known some pretty decent Rangers fans in my time, who weren't bigoted at all, and at times even complimented our club (yes, some of them have the humanity to compliment us when we play a good game against them). I think the whole point of the video is its time to grow up... There's no sense in hating each other just because we support different football teams. We're all human beings.

I can understand what you're saying mate, the majority of them are scum no doubt about it. I still don't think it's right that the minority (decent Rangers fans) are tarred with the same brush as the religion hating fans are and so on.

I'm not saying you should change anything mate, I hate them as much as you do, all I was saying is I thought you were over-looking the fact that there are some very decent people - who just happen to support Rangers and dislike Celtic for football reasons only.

    Fantastic video.

I absolutely do not hate Rangers because of their religious background. They're protestant, and I am a protestant myself. But I do hate Rangers as a football club.

You don't even have minor dislike for them when they cheat, sing Sash, Famine song, songs about Sands et cetera, act like absolute twats, rampage in every city they enter, give their mates whistles and appoint them as SPL refs, apply anti-catholic transfer policy and generally being scum of the earth?

Doesn't that fill you with just a little bit of antipathy towards them?

I think the idea that the majority of Rangers fans are bigots is OTT. I think there is a large minority but from the people I know the really bad ones are definatly a minority. Years ago a couple of times I was with a mate in the home end of a smaller Scottish ground when it was totally overrun by Rangers fans without tickets for their end. To be fair to them I did notice a large amount of Rangers fans shacked their heads and were ashamed of the 'no pope of Rome' stuff some were belting out. My impression was that maybe 20-25% were the problem but the majority were OK. I think people think their opposite numbers are more nastier than they are because fans know what buttons to press to get a rise from their opposition fans. I know perfectly decent fans of wee Scottish teams who have no interest in unionism, loyalism or whatever but who would use a union jack as a wind up tool. Celtic fans do take themselves and the club a little too seriously in the eyes of fans of most clubs and that makes us especially good fun to wind up.

i have a strong hatred for the bigoted fans that shame their club, also it does not help matters when after o f games ,murders ,stabbings beatings ,the biggest majority on the receiving end are celtic fans .

just to add a point ,i have seen 1 or 2 rangers fans with tops on in areas over run with celtic fans with no problems,i somehow dont think it would be the same if reversed ,this says to me we have a greater tolerance.

That's a completely correct view to have in my opinion.

Well as has been said many times, Celtic is a way of life for some people. It's more than a club to them and that's one of the things that makes Celtic so special.

I hate bigotry no matter what side of Glasgow it comes from, however it is my own personal experience that the blue half of the city seem to harbour a few more narrow minded fools than the green.

I hate Rangers as they are my clubs rivals, I hate bigots no matter what colour strip they wear.. Actually I dont know if I hate them as much as pity their narrow minded little lives.

I think that this site is a perfect example of the divide across the Celtic support. Some more liberal than others, a small few cross the line with their views but are brought to account by the majority. I dont think that this is as readily seen on hun sites.

Just today I was discussing this with my hun mate at work, he said he shed a tear when Tommy passed. He said he was a great man, and a great icon for the game. Not all of them are knuckle draggers..* Liam even uses words with 3 syllables sometimes :56:

They don't know what they are singing about or why their waving flag like when I was walking past Rangers fans waving a red hand of ulster and asked them if they were Donegal men and surprise surprise the reply in a Scottish accent "Donegal is not in Ulster." They are clueless.
