so let me get this right then lads...it doesnt matter how you do as Celtic manger as long as you are Celtic minded & a nice guy (who has been put through a lot of * by the huns)

I travelled over for that pish today & ill support Celtic 100% till the day i die but i refuse to hide my feelings on the matter...Lennon wasnt expierinced enough for the top job & still isnt learning as he goes along.. today was * brutal & when the going got tough he had no ideas on how to change it for the better!

    'he's Catholic'

That is possibly the saddest thing I've read on this forum. Embarrassing.

The difference between us and them, as far as I am concerned is that we are a club that welcomes all and bars none. They are the opposite and despise everything we stand for. I am a celtic supporter because of this, not because I an a catholic. Comments and thoughts like that reduce us to their level and we need to get away from it.

Very unusual to have a photo of the club manager in a banner. :97:

We're not allowed to use the club crest. The one on view is part of the site badge.

that wasnt a dig at this forum i was just using it as an example.. i actually like the design etc but to me it just sums up a lot of how i feel this cult has developed.. alot of it off course is down to the way the scum has treated him..but we cant let that cloud our judgement of him!!!

    It's up there.

I hate the "We are all Neil Lennon" tagline, it always makes me cringe. As if any one of the Celtic support has gone through anything like the horrendous ordeal Neil Lennon went through last season. Irrespective of his managerial ability, which I think even now is good enough to win the SPL but I accept he will make mistakes due to inexperience, I will always hugely admire the man's character for staying through what happened last season. Nothing to do with him being "like me" because I know that it takes an extraordinary amount of mental strength to do what he has done, and the ones who use the "we are all Neil Lennon" tagline have nothing of the sort.

Outsmarted him how? By blowing the league when it was pretty much in the bag?

    Take the glasses off.

Its now lennys second full season, its early days this season so he may still do the job, but if her doesn't, he'd be lying if he said he didn't have a fair crack of the whip.

Agree with this, as well as just natural support for Lennon.

Having a large support behind him doesn't necessarily mean it's cult like.

Im fully behind neil lennon but there are worrying signs just like last year of tactical naivety or simply poor tactical decisions, lenny is changing the system we play during games 2/3 times in the second half in the sion match and today, it is not helping our players at all.

I honestly sometimes think that lennon doesn't have another plan and seems to throw on a winger and think it will improve when we already have 2 wingers on the pitch. Some of his decisions lately have been difficult to understand.

I agree with most of this apart from ' he's Irish , he catholic '

I honestly can say this doesn't influence my opinion on him , he could be a muslin from Zimbabwe and I'd still love him.

However this admiration of him doesn't stop me thinking that if the huns get 4 iar with that * * as their manager he should leave.

That is the problem with his cult IMO. He ticks boxes that should not matter i.e. the things in bold. I think you are being honest though. Its clear to me that a lot of people are influenced by that but dont admit it. That however is why fan opinion should never be taken into account when appointing managers. Fans have preferences based on non-football tribal stuff.

It was the players up at inverness that blew the league last season.

i mean even the saying " we stand behind our leader" isnt that in itself cultish?? Neil Lennon shouldnt be judged on what he is.. where hes from... what he believes in.. or whats happened to him.. at the end of the day he should be judged by his tactics & results... & right at this moment he is not cutting it!!!!

We need to start judging Neil Lennon as a manager in this results & trophy driven game... as a man there is no doubt that he is a seriously decent person & a Celtic man!!

But as our manager?? well so far on the whole its just not happening for him!! ive said it before ...personally hes got till the end of this season for me.

I would imagine that would be the case for the vast majority of Celtic supporters.

I love the man but 2 seasons without a league title is too much for any Celtic manager, especially this time seeing as we are up against McCoist.

I'm extremely confident the title will be back home by May though.

If you are insinuating that I am no better than a Hun I would tread that line very carefully.

Not the players who blew leads at home against united and caley, or who couldn't beat hamilton? One game doesn't lose a league.

There is no line. If you like someone because they are catholic you are a fool and somewhat deluded.
