Strange how fast opinion of him has changed... for no good reason really apart from a few subdued friendly appearances...

I think he's a great option as one of our strikers. Think he's been treated a wee bit harshly by some sections of the support.

The transfer have turned out excatly as I predicted back in January.

I don't dislike him, or neglect his ability to score and his position as a kind of luxury super-sub. I just don't never got why we signed his for this price when I knowed, which our scouts should do to, he have strong limits as player too, and I couldn't when Mowbray was manager, or can now when Lenny is manager, see him as first team regular because he just don't fit into the kind of philosophy Celtic should play.

From what I've seen of Rasmussen so far I don't think he is up to much. There have been rumours that Lenny may be looking to sell him already. Shame for the big guy but thats the way it goes. Of course I would love it he proved me wrong but I cant see it happening.

Rassa is the type of player you bring on with 20mins to play against tired defenses and he sticks a half chance in the back of the net. Some players are more suited to this than playing whole games. He scores scrappy goals and poachers goals, but he does score goals.

I said yes but it's a qualified yes. We haven't really seen very much of him in a Celtic shirt but what we did see seems to show him as a good penalty box striker. I would certainly have him in the team tomorrow with Hooper injured.

Don't like mentioning this guy but I think Rasmussen is a Kris Boyd, stick the ball in the box and he will grab you the goals, again another who I think deserves a run in the team.

Its pretty obvious big Ras is well behind Hooper, Samaras, Fortune and possibly a new ST in the pecking order. And agree that he hasn't really had a run of games to show his worth, which is a shame because he looks like a penalty box poacher who would chip in with more than a few goals.
If he was happy to stay and fight for his place in the squad i'd be more than happy, but if he was to leave I would understand why. So i'm undecided.

Shows how managers think about players, the guy just came in from TM, but to me he has fire in his guts that the big tranny and fortune have not, he has been there for the second shot on goal when all the rest have been sleeping, which all poachers do? why do we stick with players who don't know where the * goalmouth is?

thought he did fine when he played last season and i liked the way he managed to score a couple of "scruffy" goals. It really looks like lenny doesnt fancy him at the moment though.

I feel quite sorry for Rassa. He risked his WC spot when he joined us and ultimately lost out but I think Lenny is being somewhat stubborn with him. He isnt his signing so he doesnt see why he should play him ahead of his own despite the fact that he is clearly a better player than Murphy who is near enough the same as Rassmusen as far as attributes go except for the fact that he is probably not as good a finisher as Ras. However, Murphy is Lennon's man so he will stick with him which is a big mistake imo because Ras has so much more to offer the team.
