  1. He would mean that they are still republicans, i also dont really like the word dissident republican myself but its a easy word for the media to use as to not confuse them with the Provos.

    * him, he got what he deserved and as far as I'm concerned the legal/morality issue goes out the window for a * like that.

Nobody would have much sympathy for him after what he did. I don't anyway.

I assume he was in protection or something over what he did. If the other prisoners were lifers and doing long sentences maybe they didn't care about getting more years for it.

Things can kick off easy in prison though and the screws only do/can do so much. When I was in prison (ireland) there would be scraps over stupid stuff. I know where I was that a lad was killed in a holding cell by another prisoner with 8 or 9 other lads in the cell. And another killed with a snooker ball in a sock but think they both happened over stuff that had happened on the outside.

Somebody like him wouldn't be in with ordinary prisoners over here anyway.

I'm absolutely serious. People are sent to prison to pay for their crimes. Their loss of liberty is their punishment. No-one is correct in taking a life this way. That opinion doesn't detract from the seriousness of the crime he committed, it was vile, but death was not his sentence, and it isn't right for other prisoners to take his life.

The question that I ask, though, is a serious one. If he were a white child killer, would he still have been targeted for a vengeance kill?

Well there is for a fact many, many dodgy beasty * strolling around in jails up and down the country who don't get touched. Race may have been a factor in him being done in.

Or, maybe he was just a * in the jail and that together with his record finished him off. * the * anyway, more people will be happy to see him go than not.

  12. The name of the charged men are:
Gary David Smith, 47, and Lee William Newell, 44, appeared at Worcester Magistrates’ court today charged with the murder.
Cant seen to find anything tho of why they are in jail.
Niway they should be appaulaed for what they did..

I think you might have had a case of the child had been white, but in this instance I don't think so.

Im often horrified when watching a movie or TV series when a lynch mob rears its ugly head, and i always like to think they are exaggerated and that most normal people wouldnt partake.......but more and more from reading in here, i think that i am wrong!

What reward should these "heroes" receive?

Ive said it before, and i will again, guys like Huntly and Brady actually want to die! They try and take their own lives and have to be kept alive...so to speak.Keeping them alive and allowing them no hope, is more of a punishment for these people.
The vigilantes involved, should be sent for a full trial, and if convicted, should get an additional life sentence to that which they may already be serving.

I understand what you're saying with regard to these guys motives but like most have said I feel no pity for this guy given what he's done.

I have to admit that if it were my child and I had the opportunity I would go for the guy with whatever I had to hand at the time. I don't know that I would actually seek him out if I knew who he was but who is rationale when their child has been murdered. If I had time to rationalise as I'm doing now I would know that revenge is a dish best served cold.

I don't agree with the death penalty but I think the law is far to lenient on these types of individuals. The punishment could never be harsh enough in my book but we live in this tippy toe touchy feely society where everyones rights but the victims are addressed. If you commit such a crime you should be locked up forever and made to work for society. If you choose not to work for society you should have all privileges withdrawn.

    I agree.
I know these people are regarded as evil.....but they must be mentally insane also. How could anyone do these things to any living creature? To me, being categorised as evil, means we havent figured out what their illness is!
Not that i in any way sympathise with them....but i do think it is worth trying to understand what has gone wrong in their minds.
