    * frightening! Most humanitarian and animal rights petitions rarely squeak into 5 figures.

But 80k folk have signed a petition to stop Kanye West performing at Glastonbury (just because he's irritating... and not white... which probably irritates them further).

That's a load of bollocks IMO. You wanna go to a festival and see a great show regardless of the genre. Seen both Justice and LCD Soundsystem at a festival and they were amazing. Iggy and the Stooges played the same festival and were also stupidly good. Completely different genres but they were the three shows that stood out among other acts like NIN, Tool, Smashing Pumpkins, KOL who I also went to see and was a fan of at the time and were the big BAND acts on show.

Only if it's a genre specific festival, but not for Glastonbury. It's never claimed to be genre specific and has a history of offering an eclectic mix of acts.

Meh. I hate rap music, but that just means that I won't go to listen to it. I've never understood why anyone likes it, but they do. So let them stand in a muddy field and watch the world's biggest * talk about how great and rich he is with some basic music playing in the background, while his vile wife with her disgusting sack of plastic that she has the audacity to call an * stands with their compass/child.

Can't believe anyone cares enough to sign a petition.

What makes you so cynical? Contrary to popular belief on this forum, Britain in general doesn't have anywhere near the same hatred for Black people as it does say Asians.

I doubt I'll go and see him, bound to be something I like more on, but anyone who signed that petition should have their ticket taken off them and be banned for life.

Love or hate the man, you should be able to appreciate his talent.

Signing a petition to stop him playing a festival "because you don't like him" is just * sad.

Don't like his music nowadays but he's more talented than most of these Indy shithawks like Coldplay and Oasis.

They should be honoured he's actually agreed to headline

Emily Eavis said that Glastonbury have had a grand total of 4 refunded tickets since the announcement was made, so no.

White, middle-class college douchebags who more than likely have never been and hopefully never will.

Only one other man has faced similar vitriol... turns out Jay-Z is also a black rapper too.

Wonder if Eminem would have got the same opposition...

The guy seems like a * to be fair. Glad Anonymous hacked him. I used to like rap music when I was younger, until I realised that every song seems to be about the exact same thing. Either drugs, money, guns, * or being black, in no particular order. It also made me chavvy as *, going around in trackies thinking I was a gangster. What a * * I was haha! :56:

Glad I turned away from it to be fair!
