3rd best player in the World

i cant believe people are saying xavi and iniesta first two!
there are far more complete players than both those.

xavi can pass and rarely gets a goal.(played 630 games scored 62)
iniesta can pass too and also rarely gets a goal.(played 410 scored 37)

i understand that they are an esential part of barcelona but they arent complete enough for a spot in even my top 5.

since you care so much about scoring stats, theres no way ronaldo is as good as nevermind better than messi, Kaka hasnt been up there in 3 years, Casillas isnt the best goalkeeper nevermind one of the best players, Lucio is good tho, Xavi and Iniesta deserve to be ahead of Kaka

this isnt fifa, the amount of goals and assists Messi tallies up plus his all round contribution, well out weighs Ronaldo, ronaldo may be better in the air, plus long shots(FK's too), but messi is better than ronaldo at alot of other things, passing, dribbling( i mean proper skinning player dribbling, not unnecessary tricks), team work, judging by his goals tally he's probably better at finishing too, one of ronaldos problems is he takes too many long shots, rather than find a teammate in a better position

 

Between messi and ronaldo its never even an argument for me its messi. His stats don't lie and are infinitely better even if ronaldos are superb. If your one of the people who believe "stats are like mini skirts - they dont show the whole picture" like my mate then even then just watching them both Messi is a better player - more naturally gifted breezes past players and links up brilliantly with his team. Ronaldo unfortunately relies almost entirely on speed and/or doing a pointless trick 1/2 metres away from the defender and is too greedy to be as effective. Would give Ronaldo heading and free kick ability over messi but thats it


As for 3rd best player - I went for Xavi; class of his own 9 times out of 10 only Iniesta comes close. Dani Alves was another thought in my head but had to be Xavi :icon_mrgreen:

Messi completely one footed? He's not Veron. Some of his best ever goals have been on his right foot.
