    That pretty much sums up my views, I don't think we have the players for it at all and even if we did it's pretty crazy to just switch to it. I think McGeady and Naka as the wide men playing 3-5-2 would just be a disaster waiting to happen.

    It has been exposed since then. MON himself stopped using it because he knew that any team who went 433 would destroy us. Maybe if he hadn't used that formation we would have won more. He doesn't use it now does he?

    I like the idea of a 3-5-2 formation but dont agree with a few of these players.

    I would see it as:

    Boruc

    Hinkel or Caddis
    McManus
    Wilson or Naylor or hopefully the new left back GS is goin 2 sign!

    Nakamura
    Crosas
    Hartley (With him dropping back to help out the defence when needed)
    Robson
    McGeady

    Maloney
    Samaras

    Would be a very pacey skillful side and would tear teams apart!!:50:

    If your gonna play wing backs then they need to be good defensively too and while McGeady does his fair share of tracking back he's not good enough to do a wing backs job.

    For that reason Aiden wouldnt fit in that formation and he's too good a player to leave out

    Personally i wouldnt i prefer having full backs. Like what others have already stated Naka and MCGeadys as attacking full backs or whatever wouldnt work. Much rather have a 433 formation.
