2016-17 Scottish Cup Final: Celtic v Aberdeen- Sat 27 May 2017- 3pm KO - BBC Scotland and Sky Sports

On this day in 1937, 147,365 people (2nd highest ever crowd at Hampden) saw @celticfc beat @AberdeenFC 2-1 in the Scottish Cup final.



Hope it's a brilliant Final and Celtic emerge victorious completing the treble for just the 4th time in their history.

 

Just looked at our record against Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup finals.
Currently it stands at 3 apiece.

Leaves 40,000.
Celtic should then get 30,000 and sheep get 10,000

I have no problem with them getting half. It's a cup final, they are entitled to their day in the sun, and they will sell out their allocation too. They took 40,000 to a League Cup final.

 

They should get a percentage less than their home match attendance.
Just the same as Celtic do.

Reduce their tickets by the same amount % as Celtic based on their average gate for the season.
Why should Celtic fans who have went to aevery game this season lose out to Aberdeen (fans) who havent turned up at all.
They are asking for more than their average gate. They shouldnt get it.

 

Why should about 15000 to 20000 Celtic fans lose out just because non attending Sheep fans suddenly want to glory hunt for 1 match.

I rspect your opinion but i guess we will have to agree to disagree on this.
It would be different if the national Stadium was actually the largest stadium in Scotland.
Until it is then this scenario will happen every time.

 

Every cup final this comes up. A cup final is held at a neutral venue because neither team are supposed to have an advantage. Saying there is more Celtic fans than them, while true, is also pointless, did we sell out the early games .. Any Celtic fan that wants a ticket and is a ST holder only has to tick a box and they get one (providing they take the early rounds). Its also worth remembering that should either team not sell their allocation, the spare tickets are usually made available to the other team.

 

I hope we do the sheep shaggers ,as I was at the 1990 final and it was the most nerve wrecking penalty shoot out ive seen for us in a domestic game.

 

I'm surprised so many Dons fans want to go to see their team lose to the invincibles.
