Good to avoid Dinamo, they're not great but have a good history and support that would have added extra tension and difficulty to the tie.

Hope Ludogorets knock out Partizan too, although theres not much between the teams. I think Ludogorets will be more nervy at Celtic Park due to not much big game experience.

As long as we avoid Legia and Austria Wien then we should be able to do Shakhter, Maribor or Partizan/Ludogorets.

I should say if we get through. I think Elfsborg are quite decent and probably better than Shakhter, Maribor, Partizan/Ludogorets.

 

Partizan, Austria Wien, and Legia are all under threat. Partizan needs to score, as you've said, or they're out. Austria only beat the Icelandic champions 1-0 at home, so that could get overturned. And Legia are tied 1-1 with Molde, so theoretically that could get overturned even though the decisive match will be in Warsaw.

 

Alot of seeded teams getting knocked out, and a few more still could.

Will help the draw for Celtic SHOULD we progress.

 

I've always poured scorn on here before when people have suggested these games are fixed but the Albanian one was bent as *.

 

Aye if Ludogorets hold on then we only need one of FH or Sheriff to win tomorrow to avoid Austria Wein as they'd either be out or in the seeds. And Molde more than capable of knocking out Legia.

Ideally Partizan, Dinamo and Austria Wein all go out, moving Legia/Molde into the final seed spot, and we're left with one of Sheriff, Maribor, Ludogorets, Shakhtyor and FH. :icon_mrgreen:

Partizan pressing. I think they were missing some players last week who won the U-19 Euros. If they get knocked out that'll be very good for all the seeded sides.

 

It's looking more and more likely we will get a team WEAKER than Elfsborg should we manage to get through tomorrow.

Penalty+Red card puts Ludogorets up 1-0, no way back for Partizan I think. They need to score 2 in 5 minutes down a man.

 

I was just having a quick look on Betfair before the game. On there as it is an exchange not a bookmakers you can see how much has been matched on each outcome and at what price.

When I looked about two hours before kick off no other game had more than £40,000 matched on it (and there were some far bigger teams than these two playing) There was over £500,000 matched on this game.

There was over £100,000 on the home team +1 which is not a popular market.

Over 2.5 goals was very short at 1-2 as well.

I followed it on the Betfair forum to see what was going on a few people on there had pictures and the in play markets were mental. The home teams price actually drifted after they took the lead and they were still an artificially high price at 2-0 and 3-0 up. In the second half it was suggested that it was almost like the players were been told exactly what to do at regular intervals. Apparently the sending off was ridiculous as well the forward just got himself sent off for kicking a defender for no reason.

The first leg was just as dodgy .

Wish I'd had a bet on it but I didn't.

 

We have been unlucky to draw Elfsborg. If we get through we could face an easier side in the play off. This is a massive opportunity for us !

Everyone is saying that we could have an easier draw now but those teams can't be that easy or they wouldn't have beaten the teams they have.
