Can't be using that excuse with last year and St Johnstone - 2 wins are vital for Celtic, 3-0 at home will see the job done.

Tricky tie this one, but a good test. Bangura's not the main threat, but he certainly is gonna have a point to prove for this game.

The deal for Bangura was with The Champions' League in mind, so i doubt their will be any contractual obligation for him not to play against us, which is maybe a good thing.

Although he gets into good positions all the time. They score from midfield and are dangerous at set plays with the height they have in the team.

Again the travelling is easy and we know all about them, just a shame really because one of the two teams have to go out, when i'd have loved to have seen us both go through.

Yeah they play on astroturf. It suits them, but it also suits Samaras, Commons, Forrest, Stokes and Watt, not so much the defense.

I think we're OK on both surfaces, whereas Elfsborg aren't so good on grass. It kinda works in reverse because so many teams in Sweden play on the astroturf and they train on it too.

Am I the only person who actually prefers playing the 1st legs at home?

Astroturf should never be a problem for any professional footballer.

Think it is an awful draw for that reason - would much prefer a jaunt to Eastern Europe. Can't believe we have missed out on that again.

They are the Swedish champions. Give them some respect.

Helsingborgs was not as easy as it seemed last season if they had took there chances in the first leg it could have been a very different story. Very tricky tie they are half way through there season and have a artificial surface for us to face in the second leg.

Here is the stats from the away game in Helsingborgs last season, I can remember them having a right good few clear cut chances.

Elfsborg certainly not to be underestimated

The most difficult tie we could have got. We played the Swedish champs in the play off round last season and now we have drawn them a round earlier. We will have to be somewhere near our best to get through this tie and anyone who thinks its a walk in the park is in for a surprise.

At moment the 5 teams in the play offs are

    Arsenal
    Real Sociedad
    Schalke 04
    AC Milan
    Pacos De Ferreira

We are seeded for this and due to the way its worked we avoid all of the above teams in the draw

If its all the seeded reams who qualify for play offs then we will be drawn against one of the following

    Viktoria Plzen
    Dinamo Zagreb
    Partizan Belgrade
    Austria Vienna
    Legia Warsaw

No I prefer it aswell, when a team gets an away goal and draw/win in the first leg they tend to think the job is done. In our UEFA cup run to Seville we played every tie at home first and it suited us.

Highly doubt that. We will be in with the top seeds will we not?

EDIT: Just checked your right enough, some tricky ties there.
