I reckon it’ll just be a LWB in for us, unless we were to sell anyone else, but time will tell

Not a season for young development players.

We should always be looking to develop young players.. This season is no different..

And only Welsh could be classed as a developer in that list.

We have to encourage our youngsters, send out the right message, played once v Hamilton as was our best defender on the day.

Besides, we have lots of options before we would get him.

Massive week for the club both on and off the park that could define our success this season.

Thursday determines if we play Group Stage European Football this season, then we'll arrive home in the wee hours of Friday morning and have 48 hrs to prepare to play away to St Johnstone in what will be our last game before playing the huns 2 weeks later.

Lennon is now on record that we're looking for a LWB/LB and a 3rd bid rumoured to be going in for Doughty of £1.2m, they signed a LB on a 12 month loan on Friday...could that be an indication we've got our man?

With Ajeti now potentially out for a few weeks with a hamstring injury it raises the stakes even further if a big bid comes in for Édouard. If he goes we are then left with Griff - who hasn't played a single competitive minute for us this season - and Klimala who was overlooked for a midfielder v Ferencvaros. Eddie has been way below par for weeks now, will he do the business for us on Thursday...or will he even be here to do the business for us?

Christie, Ntcham and Ajer are others that have had rumours throughout the summer. Ajer has turned a corner for us and has been putting in some big performances, Christie's contributions have been winning games, Ntcham arguably our best midfielder against Riga...if any of them go then will we be able to replace them like-for-like?

So we're actually matching our Invincibles season in points and GD, although conceded less goals.

Pleasing that we're doing that while not at our best. Plenty more still to come from this team.

Certainly does mate. We haven’t been at our best this season but thought that was our best performance today by far and still a lot more to come from us.

Was saying to one of my mates earlier that we always seem to make a slow start but we always seem to click at the right time. Last season is testament to that. Getting beat by the huns then absolutely smashing it in the new year.

Check out that 2014/15 start, that’s when I would be worried :giggle1:

Exactly mate. Performances haven’t been great so far this season but we have still got the points domestically (apart from Kilmarnock) when not playing great which is what champions do. That has to be a positive as we are still not at our best but still finding ways to win. Definitely thought that was a lot better today but still nowhere near our best, which is encouraging considering the comfortable 3-0 result.

Obviously a lot of negativity from the fans recently has been in regards to performances but I would say a lot of that has been as a result of Lennon’s team selections at times which no doubt has been baffling at times.

Looking at our record over the years posted above, that shows we are prone to having slow starts but we always seem to click at the right time and I have faith that we will kick on like we always do.

There is no doubt that the huns strong start has severely amplified the criticisms on here

It probably hasn't helped, but much of the criticism has been justified if we're honest. Today was much more like it, but before that we've been unconvincing, to say the least. Scraping wins against Dundee United, Livi and St Mirren. Knocked out of the CL qualifiers by a poor Ferencvaros side. And of course the draw against Killie.

Looking at that table posted above, it does perhaps make the criticism look harsh at times. But then again, we couldn't have really asked for a much better set of opening fixtures. Yet to play Aberdeen and the huns, and the Motherwell and Hibs games have been at Celtic Park.

Hopefully we'll kick on after that result today. We need to, really.

Im not saying the criticism is completely unwarranted. Certainly Ferencvaros was poor and we have scraped through in a couple of games. I've criticised Lennon and the players too. But I think the magnitude of this season and the fact the huns look like a serious threat have really added to it. People are that bit more trigger happy

    The criticism has been warranted.

Overlooking our obvious deficiencies because are winning is extremely naïve: it is the optimist falling from the Empire State Building uttering, 'So far, so good!', on his way down.
