He is not alone in his dip in form, if he was, then as much as it would pain me because I * love this *. Then alot of the recent criticism is fair game, albeit, id argue we've got a petty mindset of how quickly we turn on players when they are due for the off.

But club wide, something is rotting which obviously stems from the board down, but Rodgers isn't without fault in all of this

 

Tbh I thought we played well. We scored, hit the woodwork twice. Keeper had a good game. The main problem again, was the lack of quality changes available. Stems from yet another * transfer window and not replacing people who left.

 

I missed the game but my son said Maeda was actually way better than Yang and Forrest on the right.

 

I don't know that I would say way better but he had his moments and I would start him on the right again on Thursday night against Braga.

 

It just never works out keeping a player who wants away, as we found out to our cost Covid season. And I would not be surprised if a similar story were to come out about Engles

Either his head is on his next move, or his new baby in Japan. Either way, he's not the same player. Looks leggy as well.

He's been getting by on being the guy who puts a bit of pressure on the defence for too long now.

Technically, he's absolutely dog *. Pair that with a guy who's given up and we're essentially a man down.

 

The amount of time he just walking or standing around tells me he is not * interested and is just waiting for the January window. He should not play if his head and heart is not here.

 

Right wing, left wing, striker and right wing back in his last few games. Not really the best way to manage a player severely lacking in confidence.

 

Maeda simply can't play football, his technical ability and basic skillset if off the charts awful.
Yes he can run (and run) and has the odd purple patch jn front of goal but he is a terrible football player.
Reminds me of a Japanese Stephen Pearson or Oliver Burke.
Please sell in January.

Id rather he was dropped for the moment. Try Nygren on the wing for a few games.
