Celts Get Inter Them

Guidetti send the fans into Paradise

The build up to the match against Inter rivalled even that of an Old Firm match from bygone days. The memories of 67 were being intertwined with the last 32 match up between two giants of European football.

There was a lot of emphasis before the match about how far this Celtic side had come since the early disasters of Legia and Maribor. How good was this Celtic side?

The test Inter Milan represented was not only a step up in class but a test for Ronny Deila and his philosophy. His attacking philosophy. When the team sheet was announced every Celtic fan could see his intentions, to attack. With Armstrong and Mackay-Steven on the flanks. Johansen in behind Griffiths. This attacking 4 represented an ambitious Celtic.

After 15 minutes, it can be said many fans were thinking, not again...I...

Saint's Beaten on Valentines Day

Johansen scores for the second game running

Celtic continued their winning streak against the Saint's with a hard fought 2-1 win in Perth. It has kept the bhoys 8 game winning run going in the league. With Aberdeen playing on Sunday the Hoops have extended the gap at the top of the table to 6 points.

The Celtic players have finally gotten used to the high pressing system Deila wants implemented. Over the past month or so we have started games with an impressive tempo. Constantly harassing the opposition as deep as their own 18 yard box. The effect of this is two fold; firstly the turnover of possession into Celtic's hands is quicker, additionally the place where we receive the ball is more dangerous in their own half. This allows the bhoys to create and start attacks instantly.

It requires a really hard work ethic as...

It's exciting times for Celtic fans around the globe, as manager Ronny Deila begins a new era. Deila brought in his own players at the end of the January transfer window, and two of them scored on their debut, as a rampant Celtic strolled past Partick Thistle in a 3-0 victory.

New Bhoy, Gary Mackay Steven got off to an explosive start to his Celtic career, after opening the scoring in just 38 seconds. The highland born winger who joined Celtic at the beginning of the month, latched on to a Nir Bitton pass inside the 6 yard box with a...

Deila Dundee-lighted with Dens Dominance

Celtic cruised into the Scottish Cup Quarter-Finals with a comfortable 2-0 win at Dens Park, thanks to goals from Leigh Griffiths and Stefan Johansen in a game that followed a familiar pattern.

When Leigh Griffiths got across his man to head home the opener after just six minutes, the game was already following a familiar pattern for Celtic fans. An early advantage in a potentially tricky Cup tie allowed Deila's Bhoys to go and play the kind of football the Norwegian is striving for.

'Tempo' seems to be the buzzword for Deila, and that is what he got here again. Hartley's men, much like last weeks opposition, could not live with the ferocious pace set by the Bhoys in Green. Dundee were kept in the game by a string of impressive saves by 'keeper Scott Bain.

Dundee felt aggrieved when an early penalty shout...
