Ronny Redemption
Simunovic makes Celtic league debut and Kris Commons retains place as Celtic romp to 5-0 win.

Anything but a win today would massively increase fan pressure on Ronny Deila and his Celtic team, but 5 goals and a clean sheet are the first steps to redemption in the eyes of the Celtic support.

Many fans had been calling for Deila to be removed from his position in the aftermath of the monstrosity in Molde. The only way for Deila to silence his critics is to win games.

His critics will remind you just how poor Dundee United are at the moment. The Arabs have struggled since losing their best players in such a short period of time and even the potential rejuvenation effect of new manager Mixu Paatelainen hasn't stopped them looking like relegation fodder.

Craig Gordon must have been the most bored man in the UK today as he had absolutely nothing...

More of a whimper than a roar

Deila's Celtic team disgrace themselves as pathetic defending once again rears its ugly head.

If you missed tonight's Celtic match, don't worry, you can re-create it in an instant by getting one of your friends to repeatedly punch you in the stomach. The sad truth is that the 3-1 scoreline flattered Celtic as the most spineless, gutless and desperate performance played out in front of our eyes.

Losing two goals in the first twenty minutes of the match spelled a long night for the travelling Celtic support, who endured weather that was only surpassed in awfulness by the way the team played.

In the 3rd minute, Griffiths had shots blocked. Molde defender Linnes gets to the first then Molde's goalkeeper blocks the second. In the 5th minute, Johansen tries to feed Griffiths inside the box but it fails. In the 9th minute, it is...

Can Cole get goals?

Ronny Deila increases his striking options by signing experienced Englishman, Carlton Cole

At 32 years of age, Carlton Cole is sure to bring huge experience to the Celtic squad. He has signed a contract with the Hoops until 2017. Having spent his entire career until this point in the top two tiers of the English game, everyone who bleeds green and white will be hoping that his time in a stronger league will ensure that he has the know how and ability to become a Hoops Hero.

Cole impressed enough on trial to earn himself a contract

Getting in to the squad will not be easy, as there is only one stiker's spot in Deila's preferred formation. Griffiths is in fantastic form and is a proven goalscorer, while Ciftci has been showing signs of improvement as a Celt....

The Molde for success
Celtic must cut out defensive errors in order to record their first win of this Europa campaign.

Celtic have managed two draws from two games in this year's Europa League and the team performances in both games were such that the final result was seen as disappointing. Having taken the lead against both Ajax and Fenerbahçe, errors that led to goals for the opposition have cost the club vital points in the quest for qualification from the group stages.

Molde's draw with Ajax sees them lead the group with 4 points

The Norwegians currently lead the table with 4 points from 2 games, showing that they are not the group's weak team that had originally been perceived by many of the faithful Celtic support. A 3-1 victory away from home at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium in Turkey has been...

No Trouble at Tannadice

Dundee United 1-3 Celtic: Attentions now turn to Tuesdays tie in Sweden

Sandwiched in between two massive Champions League nights, and having made 9 changes to the starting line-up, the lunchtime trip to Tannadice was a potential early season banana skin for Deila's men. But, when red-hot Leigh Griffiths opened the scoring after 17 minutes, a relatively comfortable afternoon followed.

The only two players to keep their place, Griffiths and left-back Emilio Izaguirre, combined to put Celtic in front in a first-half dominated by the visitors. German stopper, Luis Zwick, was instrumental in keeping United in the tie, with two fine saves from Kris Commons particularly impressive.

A comedy own goal from Mark Durnan doubled Celtic's advantage, before Chris Erksine slotted a penalty past Logan Bailly after a clumsy challenge from Efe Ambrose. Callum McGregor's...
