It was a great night for the new bhoys Sinclair and Dembele, who continued to display why Brendan Rodgers was eager to sign them. Dembele confidently putting away another penalty along with scoring his first goal from open play for the Scottish champions.
The scoring was opened by Tom Rogic after a lovely chipped pass into the Motherwell box from Callum McGregor. Rogig spinning on his heel, controlled the ball in the air with his right before dispatching a volley into the top right corner of the net.

Ladbrokes Premiership: Round 1
Tynecastle Stadium

IT was a case of 'Champions 2-1 Cheats' on the opening weekend of the Ladbrokes Premiership season as Brendan Rodgers' men got off to the perfect start with 3 points at Tynecastle. Gorgie is often a difficult place to go and get a result at the best of times so to grind out a win at this stage of the season is hopefully a sign of things to come for Celtic.
The game was played out in a fashion which many might have expected prior. Fast and furious. In total, referee John Beaton...

Brendan Rodgers' first competitive domestic match takes place this Sunday, as the league season finally gets underway here in Scotland once again. What would normally be considered as 'Flag day' at Paradise though, takes on a slightly different look this year with the reigning champions heading away from home to the capital in order to lock horns with Robbie Neilson's Jambos. With the flag having already been unfurled against Lincoln Red Imps a few weeks back, there will be no pre-match...

Elation and relief are probably the overriding emotions felt by everyone connected to Celtic tonight, as a late penalty from new signing Moussa Dembele sends the Scottish Champions through to the Champions League qualification playoff.
Dembele has looked desperate to hit the net since signing, but has found opportunities hard to come by. The timing of his debut goal could not...

The Hoops came away from Kazakhstan with a vital away goal after falling behind in the first half. The high temperature, artificial pitch and 5 hour time difference were all added challenges to the match against the capable Kazakhs.
One of the reasons the Celtic support will be feeling nervous is the selection headache that faces Brendan Rodgers. The team seems thin on the ground for options on fit and capable centre backs. Kolo Toure will be lacking match fitness, Erik Sviatchenko is injured, Dedryk Boyata is just returning to training, Charlie Mulgrew is out of contract, Jozo Simunovic is also just returning to training and Efe Ambrose has...
