Celtic welcome the visit of St Johnstone to Parkhead tomorrow in a return to league action, looking to continue the run of results that has helped the Bhoys climb the table, as they seemingly once again hit their stride.

Tuesday's 2-0 victory over Ferencvaros was essential for the Hoops' Euro ambitions but this weekend it is all about the league, and picking up three valuable points will be all that matters.

The Hoops will be going into the match on the back of three consecutive wins, including back to back away day league successes over Aberdeen and Motherwell, and...

CELTIC 2-0 FERENCVAROS

Scorers: Kyogo (56) Turnbulll (81)

Tuesday 19th October 2021

Celtic Park, Glasgow. K.O. 3.30pm

Attendance: 50,420

Both teams went into this game looking to get a foot on the ladder in this group after two defeats each in the first two games. Whilst the importance of domestic competition this season is the main concern for fans and the team, a win in Europe always gets the juices flowing.

Today would be no different in Paradise with a crowd of over 50,000 in attendance to cheer the Bhoys on at a crazy kick off time of 3.30pm on a Tuesday afternoon. Due to the huge interference of World leaders turning up on our doorstep and a refusal from UEFA to allow us to clash with Champions League times. The Ultras made their message clear.

Celtic will go into Tuesday afternoon's (yes, you read that right) Europa League match with Ferencvaros, looking to build on two wins in the league, either side of the recent International break, with increasing confidence, and for the support, looking for abit of payback, after the Hungarian side knocked then manager Neil Lennon's Celts out of Champions League Qualification at the beginning of what would prove to be a very troubling 2020/21 campaign.

After a very encouraging performance in Seville against Real Betis, and being humbled at...

MOTHERWELL 0-2 CELTIC

Scorers: Jota (17) Turnbull (52)

Saturday 16th October 2021

Fir Park, Motherwell K.O. 3pm

Back to domestic duty today and a very tricky trip to Fir Park and a Motherwell team who have been in form of late and a point ahead of Celtic in the table. Just two changes were made to the starting team that beat Aberdeen in a hard fought victory at Pittodrie before the International break, Out went young Montgomery and Bitton to make way for Bolingoli and Rogic. There was also a place on the subs bench for the tricky Mikey Johnson after a start stop to his season so far.

This game was going to require bottle and a bit of temperament thrown in for the Bhoys to better their position in sixth place as Motherwell had won three home games on the bounce and, as we know, are no mugs. It was Motherwell who started positively with their first attack in 7 minutes when Starfelt was rounded by Tony Watt who...

This weekend's return to action following the international break, with more than a few questions still hanging over them.

But Ange Postecoglou believes that the team is now much more settled and ready for the challenges that lie ahead, beginning with the relatively short trip to Lanarkshire this weekend.

"It has been, right from the start, probably 'unsettled', is the right word" said the Hoops' boss.
