Celtic have the mouth-watering proposition of being able to all but ensure their passage to European football after the turn of the year, in one way or another, with a win in their clash with Ferencvaros in Budapest on Thursday.

And if the the Bhoys can secure another three points, it would require their hosts to defeat both Real Betis and Bayern Leverkusen just to draw level with Celtic, let alone any other points that Ange Postecoglou's men might be able to pick up also.

So the stakes are there for all...

Five wins from five games. Four from four in the league. Three away wins on the spin. Just two goals conceded. Yes, October has been one very good month for the Hoops!

And so hopes and expectations will be high that Celtic can close out the month with another strong showing and win when Livingston visit to Parkhead this weekend.

David Martindale's men are one of the sides that managed to take all three points when the these two teams met last month, which should add that little bit of extra motivation - if it were at all needed - as the Bhoys look to...

HIBERNIAN 1-3 CELTIC

SCORERS: Celtic. Ralston (10) Carter-Vickers (14) Kyogo (30) Hibs. Boyle (37)

Easter Road, Edinburgh

Attendance: 17,580

An away visit to Edinburgh to face Hibernian was the tricky tie that Celtic needed to overcome and they did it with aplomb in a scintillating opening 45 minutes. This capped a brilliant October for the Celts with five wins on the bounce. Forced to revert back to last season’s sexy all black strip as this season’s three strips were deemed as a clash with Hibs and it provided us with some black magic.

The last time Celtic had a win on league duty at Easter Road was way back on 26th January 2014 when the Bhoys won 4-0. Even Pukki got a goal in that game. Ange Postecoglou made only one change to the lineup who started against St. Johnstone with Mikey Johnson coming in on the left wing and big Greek striker Giakoumakis dropped to the bench....

The Hoops head to the capital on Wednesday to do battle with Hibs, seeking to maintain their current run of results, after the Bhoys chalked up their 4th consecutive success at the weekend, over St Johnstone.

Coming off the back of three victories in the league, the Hoops will be keen to maintain staying within striking distance of the league leaders, and picking up another three points at Easter Road is crucial in this quest.

But that is easier said than done, as Hibs have a record at home against Celtic which must be the envy of the entire of Scottish...

Celtic welcome the visit of St Johnstone to Parkhead tomorrow in a return to league action, looking to continue the run of results that has helped the Bhoys climb the table, as they seemingly once again hit their stride.

Tuesday's 2-0 victory over Ferencvaros was essential for the Hoops' Euro ambitions but this weekend it is all about the league, and picking up three valuable points will be all that matters.

The Hoops will be going into the match on the back of three consecutive wins, including back to back away day league successes over Aberdeen and Motherwell, and...
