For Celtic fans this Glasgow Derby was one of the most anticipated in a very long time. Celtic are now in the ascendancy as Rangers have hit a sticky patch dropping 4 points in their last three league games. The Hoops were still a bit light in numbers but those who played did brilliantly.
There was a shock starting slot for Captain Calum McGregor who had reportedly broken a cheek bone only two weeks ago. Another inclusion to the bench was Daizen Maeda who unbelievably played for the Japanese team the day before in his home country. Celtic and Postecoglou saw fit to have the striker ready for action and sent a private jet to collect him.
It was very refreshing to see that nine starters were all signed by Ange Postecoglou and six of the squad were debuting in a...

This game was the most nervous watching Celtic as I have been in years and judging by the performance and the atmosphere in the stadium, I wasn’t alone. With rangers dropping points earlier in the day at Ross County it was imperative to beat Dundee United and grab all three points.
The performance lacked the killer instinct that is usually in full flow in the first half of games this season. Possession wasn’t the problem here as we had that in abundance but we just couldn’t convert and add to that the brilliant performance of Dundee United goalie Siegrist.
There was a nice tribute before kick-off for former title winning manager Wim Jansen who passed away earlier in the week and also a large black banner throughout the game paying respects to those murdered on * Sunday in Derry 50 years ago....
