Celtic host St Johnstone this weekend in the final fixture before the split, and with a total of just 6 games remaining, the Bhoys looking to take another step closer to clinching the Premiership.
The Bhoys are potentially just two wins away from regaining the title, after the victory at Ipox last weekend, which has extended the lead to 6 points at the top of the table.
However, the job is not done yet, and no doubt this will be the message that Ange Postecoglou will be drilling into his side, to safeguard against any complacency and ensure there are...

Last summer we were in a dark place after the season from *, no manager in place and a squad in need of an overhaul of monumental proportions.
We were so bad last term, even though we essentially had a team that walked the Premier league the year before. Why was that?
Contract situations have a huge bearing on the playing staff of a football club. If a player is after a new contract then often you see them trying much harder to impress in order to get that security of a bumper new long term contract. Similarly a player with a long contract feels settled and is able to perform.
The contract situation becomes problematic when players run their contracts down, or are inclined to want a move. The perfect storm is when those two scenarios come together at once.
We had a plethora of players whose contracts were running down and who all wanted away at the same time. Edouard, Ajer, Ntcham and Christie to name a few, along with an aging captain and under performing new additions led...

Last year was an utter disaster. We had a team with players who were desperate to leave, a manager who had allowed the team to deteriorate over the course of his tenure, and no fans to help cheer the team on to better performances.
We rightly lost the league to a team at Ibrox that looked the best it had been since the old club died. They had undoubtedly improved where we had declined and the point gap at the end of the season was enormous. When Neil Lennon was eventually sacked the damage was done. Had the decision been taken earlier in the season it may have been salvageable, but the board delayed and the rest is history.
It looked like Eddie Howe would become the new manager, only to turn the position down after dithering for months and not being able to get his backroom appointments together. With the new season looming it was a left-field appointment of Ange Postecoglou that the board pulled out of the hat.
I have to admit that initially I thought this was utterly insane,...

This is the business end of the season now, and with the finish line in sight, Celtic have the opportunity to take a massive step towards the title. Victory on Sunday would open a 6 point gap at the top of the table, with just 6 games left in the league campaign after that.
The pressure will be on for both sides, as the Hoops look to reclaim the League title and the home side desperate, trying to cling on in the race. Indeed, with so few games remaining, even a share of the points would serve Celtic's needs more than that of...

CELTIC 4-0 ROSS CO.
Scorers: Giakoumakis (11,18,60 pen) Maeda (26)
A must win game that could see Celtic pull away further in the League with a victory seeing the Hoops 6 points clear of rivals rangers. If only for 24 hours.
There were two changes to the starting lineup from the one that started against United in the Cup Quarter finals. James Forrest was absent through injury with a knock that occurred in the cup game and was replaced by a fit again Jota. Tom Rogic was also preferred to Matt O’Riley.
Ross County arrived at Celtic Park on a mini three game winning streak and Charles-Cook leading the scoring charts with 13 goals in the league. It was anticipated as a stern test but one Celtic needed to deal with as the games fly past quickly with the season’s end in sight.
