SCOTTISH LEAGUE CUP
Second Round

Wednesday 31st August. K.O. 7.45pm

Victoria Park. Dingwall

Ross Co. 1 - 4 Celtic

Scorers: McGregor (21) Giakoumakis (25) Maeda (73) Forrest (90)
Lacovitti (68)

A tricky League cup tie away at Dingwall to face Ross County. A team that Celtic haven’t beaten in the cup since 2011 and the team that stopped us dead in our tracks going for a fifth treble. With important games coming thick and fast now Big Ange was able to dip into the squad depth to make 9 changes to the record breaking side that started against Dundee United.

The only two players who remained were the ever present Calum McGregor and tricky attacker Abada. Sometimes this can be a major disruption and a hindrance for the team. Scorers: Kyogo (15, 40, 45+2) Jota (45+6) Abada(50, 59, 77) Juranović (55) Starfelt (81)

A Sensational sublime performance by The Hoops hit Tannadice like a tornado and the mess they left behind was not pretty. This was peak Celtic and not just under Ange but in the history of the club and these Bhoys just wrote a new page in that story.

We could pick out several top performances but it would be totally unfair as this was as perfect a team performance as it gets. Everything gelled and the football at times was fascinating to the eye. What a time to be alive.

It could have been different had Hart not made that one handed stretching save from Middleton after only two minutes. Steven Fletcher slid in hoping for a rebound and caught Joe with his studs on the head. This held the game up for nearly 10...
