It will be a fired up Celtic Park that awaits the Hoops' return home, when they square of against Motherwell tomorrow and keen to get back into that winning groove.

The Bhoys are set for a very tough schedule of fixtures, with 13 games to play before the enforced World Cup break in November - 3 of which will be against the Steelmen, with this and another League fixture scheduled and the League Cup Quarter Final in between!

So tomorrow is not just about one game, but is important to get back into the winning groove...

ST. MIRREN 2-0 CELTIC
Scorers: O’Hara (43) Ayunga (53)

Things happen when you least expect them and that was definitely the case when Celtic took a short trip to Paisley to face St. Mirren in the League. So many factors were at play it is difficult to pinpoint what went wrong.

The fans were quick to blame the silver third strip which did clash poorly with the Saints jerseys and was possibly at fault for any hesitation in passing during the game. For me it was all down to the players and maybe a wee bit on Ange for so many changes to the team. However I will admit, I was one of those who wanted changes and in that respect the players should be ready when called upon.

Anthony Ralston, Welsh, Turnbull, Mooy and Maeda all made it into the starting lineup with Hatate, O’Riley and Jota on the bench. Carter-Vickers,...

Back to Premiership action for the Bhoys after the 1-1 draw with Shakhtar

Celtic are 90 minutes away from achieving a couple of remarkable milestones.

After the glamour of the past couple of weeks, with back to back Champions League outings, it is very much back to the bread and butter that is the League, and a short trip to Paisley, to take on St Mirren.

The first is, if the Hoops can take maximum points once again for the seventh consecutive match, it would provide the defending champions with the best start they have had to a League campaign since 2010/11, when there was 8 on the trot,...

Tomorrow evening the Hoops will line up once again in a Champions League match, when they take on Shakhtar Donetsk in this second Group F fixture.

And the Hoops will want to get this European campaign back on track after what was a highly credible and commendable performance against Real Madrid, even if the result was ultimately a disappointing one.

Yet hope springs, and there is such a sense of belief in the manager and this Celtic side that anything is indeed possible, after going toe to toe with the best that Europe has to offer, and this philosophy will once again be put to the test this week.

CELTIC 4 - 0 RANGERS

Scorers: Abada (8, 40) Jota (32) Turnbull (78)

Another day for you and me in Paradise. Always a buzz beating your biggest rival but to win it in style is the best feeling you get as a football fan and it was one of those days.

Celtic once again were ruthless and hungry whilst the opposition looked absolutely clueless. Celtic won by four clear goals but it really could have been six and that brings us up to 38 games without a loss.

Israeli Striker Abada was on the scoresheet again with a double, Jota and Turnbull grabbing the other two. It now leaves The Hoops with a five point gap over rangers in only six games and it’s hard to see this Green and white Juggernaut coming to a halt.
