Celtic came from 2 goals down today at Celtic Park to maintain their unbeaten run at home.

The game finished Celtic 2 Dundee Utd 2 with goals from Robertson and Samuel, the Celts replying through O'Dea and Nakamura.

The hoops started the match well, with McGeady looking lively on the left hand side, but it was United who took the lead with their first attack. A Barry Robson free kick was headed in by David Robertson from close range with the Celtic defence appealing for offside.

Celtic continued to press for an equaliser but were frustrated by the south stand linesman, who was in danger of repetitive strain injury, his arm was up and down more than Jodie Marsh's knickers.

To add to Celtic's first half misery, Bobo Balde was stretchered off with what looked like a serious knee injury when he made a clearance at the edge of the box. He was replaced by Darren O'Dea.

Celtic were punished for more sloppy defending in the 58th minute when another Robson...
The Hoops won another 3 points today after an entertaining game at Celtic Park. The win restored their 16 point advantage at the top of the SPL.

Celtic looked relieved to be playing on grass again after last weeks visit to Ibrox.

Both teams passed the ball well and created several chances but the real star of the game was referee Ian Brines. He managed to turn in one of the worst refereeing performances seen at Celtic Park for many years. He managed to infuriate both teams with a succession of wrong decisions.

In fact, the only thing missing from his performance was a curly orange wig and big red nose.

Celtic started well and were driven on in the first half by Thomas Gravesen, but the first real chance fell to SPL top scorer Anthony Stokes, who hit the ball over the bar from close range after a Gow cross was headed back across goal.

But Celtic made the break through in the 23rd minute with a fantastic curling effort from 20 yards by Gravesen. The...
Celtic had to settle for a share of the points at a muddy Ibrox today

Todays old firm derby ended in a 1-1 draw after Celtic took the lead through Thomas Gravesen, only to be pegged back late on by a deflected goal from Brahim Hemdani.

The match was played on a very poor surface at Ibrox, with the centre of the pitch resembling a ploughed field after Rangers european tie in midweek.

Celtic started the match brightly, with Aiden McGeady threatening to run riot down the left against Hutton.

But Rangers had the first chance of the match with Ferguson played through before blazing the ball over the bar from 6 yards out.

Celtic took the lead in the 38th minute with a fantastic half volley from Thomas Gravesen after MacGregor had flapped at a Nakamura cross.

Soon after that Celtic were denied a stonewall penalty, with Lennon clearly fouled by Smith in the box. Referee Kenny Clark incredibly waved away the appeals, probably the only person inside the...
Celtic have been rewarded for reaching the last 16 of the Champions League for the first time with a trip to play Italian giants AC Milan.

Celtic will be at home for the first leg on February 20th then travel to the San Siro on March 7th

The teams faced each other two years ago in the same competition with Celtic losing 2 late goals in a 3-1 defeat in Milan then a 0-0 draw at Celtic Park.

Milan are currently struggling in Serie A following an 8 point deduction for their part in the Italian match fixing scandal.

The match is set to become the most lucrative in Celtic's history with the club banking £3 million through gate receipts, prize money, television and advertising.

Celtic's chief executive Peter Lawwell has welcomed the draw, calling it a great tie for players and supporters.

It could also be good news for the travelling support with Celtic set to receive a large allocation of tickets for the 80,000 capacity San Siro.
The chief executive of the SFA has warned scottish football fans that sectarian chants could cost their team points next season.

David Taylor will be proposing the tough new measures when he addresses the second summit on sectarianism today.

The summit brings together the football authorities, the scottish executive and religious leaders.

His proposals follow the publication of an executive funded report which consulted fans from 17 major scottish football clubs.

16 considered sectarianism to be a major problem, with only Rangers disagreeing, despite a UEFA fine last season for 'discriminatory chanting'
