'Yes' to the CIS
Celtic manager Gordon Strachan yesterday sounded out a warning that Celtic are in every cup they enter this year to win them.
In a short statement of intent that won't have been well received by their fourth round opponents, Livingstone, Strachan said;
“We want to try and win everything we get involved in, and it’s nice to get to a cup final.”
Having rung the changes in recent weeks to mixed success, it appears the Celtic managers confidence in the strength of his squad has reached new heights unseen in his tenure so far.
To that end, and also given the fact the side only played on Sunday afternoon, tonight should be no different and a few of the less utilised squad players should get their chance to impress.
"There will be changes to our team and it’s understandable because we played Sunday and now we’re playing Tuesday, but...

Back to the bread and butter
After a highly disappointing draw in the Champions League at home to Aalborg in midweek, Celtic return to SPL action this weekend and face a tough trip to Rugby Park to face one of the season’s early surprises, Kilmarnock.
The champions come into the match with no fresh injury worries after the match on Wednesday, although manager Gordon Strachan is expected to rotate the line up after there were poor performances all round in the match.
Glenn Loovens, Mark Wilson, Marc Crosas, Paul Hartley, Aiden McGeady and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink are all pushing for recalls to the starting XI, and they can all harbour realistic ambitions of getting back into the side after the way the Celts were so average all over the park against Aalborg.

Strachan Lambasts Poor McGeady For Recent Form!
It has emerged today, that after Celtic's horrific Old Firm loss to Rangers, that rising star Aiden McGeady was the main victim of Gordon Strachan's rage.
Where as the rest of the team were called into a room to go over the 4-2 defeat, young Irishman McGeady was told to go into the canteen and eat lunch by himself.
After winning Player Of The Year last year much was expected of the young Celt, but so far this season he has been a shadow of his former self.
There seems to have been a knock on effect as Aiden was left out of the next 2 fixtures after the Old Firm. One being a tricky away tie to Motherwell and the other a crucial Champions League game at home to Aalborg. Though McGeady featured later on in the Champions League game, he was again unimpressive.
It seems that Strachan's theory behind this is to make the young star think about how he is playing. With the skill he has got he could...

Celtic 0 - 0 AaB Aalborg
A disappointing 0-0 draw with Danish champions AaB Aalborg at Parkhead last night could have a devastating impact on Celtic's quest for a place in the last 16 of the Champions League for the third year running.
Celtic made two changes from the team that beat Motherwell 4-2, with Andreas Hinkel in for Mark Wilson and Shunsuke Nakamura replacing Marc Crosas in midfield. Georgios Samaras kept his place up front after impressing against Motherwell..
Despite having been written off by many, the underdogs Aalborg matched Celtic in the opening period of the game. This frustrated the home crowd, who were clearly expecting Celtic to make light work of the Danish champions. Celtic enjoyed the lions-share if possession but were unable to penetrate the well organised Aalborg defence.
Aalborg began to come more into the game and nearly scored on the 15th minute after a fast counter-attack and clinical pass by Curth caught McManus and Naylor unaware...

Can The Bhoys Shackle The Great Danes?
Celtic's Champions League campaign for season 2008/09 kicks off in earnest this evening against Danish champions Aalborg BK at Parkhead.
Not a great deal is known about the Danish side other than they were the conquerors of FB Kaunas at the third qualifying stage last month, after the Lithuanian cracks had knocked out Rangers in the previous round.
Founded in 1885 and managed by the experienced Bruce Rioch, Gordon Strachan will be fully aware of the danger posed in taking any side at this level of European competition lightly. Especially one managed by the wily Scot, Rioch, who has also had notable spells at the helm of a number of top English clubs including Middlesbrough, Bolton, Wigan and Arsenal.
The main danger men Celtic will to have look out for this evening should be;
Jeppe Curth - the former Danish Under 21 international who was...
