Group Stage Matchday 4
Celtic were held to a 1-1 draw tonight under a cloud of heavy mist in Romania. An impressive first half performance by Celtic turned to a sluggish 2nd half showing, resulting in a disappointing point for Deila's men.
Stefan Johansen and Charlie Mulgrew controlled the midfield area well in the early stages of the game. However, with hitman Guidetti missing at the spearhead of the attack, Celtic's play in the final third was fairly unproductive. Scepovic was rarely involved in play and was subsequently replaced by Griffiths later in the game.
Later in the first half, Gordon was called upon to make a good save in a one on one situation.

Johansen then won a free kick 5 yards from the opposition area. Mulgrew's strike hit the wall and was then cleared, but only to Johansen. The Norwegian's deflected strike flew into the top left and...
John Guidetti interview - english version
November 2014. A lot of game time, 9 goals in 9 games. How does it feel with such a great start at the club?
JG: It is a great club. The reception, the chance, you can prove and play football if you deserve it.
You have spent years in England, and now live in Scotland, what are the greatest similarities and differences you have encountered?
JG: Prem is very good and City is a big club full with star players. It’s going fast and rough. The differences are City’s resources and the good air up here.
In Feyenoord you proved your qualities as a good penalty...
9 in 9 for 9
Celtic 1-0 Inverness Caledonian Thistle
Scottish Premiership, Celtic Park,
K.O. 3pm, 1/11/14
John Guidetti's record at Celtic now stands at 9 goals in 9 games. Celtic's new on-loan no.9 scored yet again to seal the 3 points for The Bhoys at Celtic Park against a well drilled and dangerous Inverness Caledonain Thistle.
The first half started off in lively fashion for The Bhoys, with Guidetti, Stokes and Johansen linking up well early on to cause problems for the Caley defence. Twenty two minutes into the half, Lustig created Celtic’s best opportunity thus far. An out-swinging cross from the right hand side of the box was just too high for Guidetti, with Stokes unable to react in time behind the Swede. The ball trickled away harmlessly for an Inverness goal kick.
5 minutes later, Van Dijk threatened Brill in the Inverness goal with a thumping effort from 35 yards, but the...

Celtic and the Living Wage - What the * Do We Care?
At Celtic’s 2013 AGM, Resolution 2 – regarding the Living Wage – saw 1298 votes cast. 1164 of these votes were “for” the resolution, and a mere 134 “against.”
The fact that 90% of those shareholders eligible for a vote were defeated by a 10% with a greater shareholding rankled many. "Celtic is more than just a football club” is a line than that has been read repeatedly over the years, from ex-Chairpersons to ex-players alike. Were these just words, trotted out in some form of illusionary deception?
Naturally, the reasoning behind this “majority” vote against the resolution revolved around existing finances, as well as the current marketplace Celtic found themselves...
Guidetti, £1-2M False Prospects, and Putting Bums on Seats.
Celtic’s march to the semi finals of the League Cup last night – in front of a sparse crowd of just over 16,000 fans – ended a period of a week on that park that could have been make or break for Ronny Deila.
While last Thursday’s performance against Astra did little to convince the nay-sayers, it still kept the Bhoys at the top of Europa Group D. More important, however, was the fact it allowed momentum to gain pace, as Deila’s men started a run of four straight games at home, in all competitions.
Fast forward a few days, and Celtic have now scored fifteen goals since the International break (conceding only one.) Progression in Europe now lies solely in their hands, they retain hope of winning a League...
