On the 15th April 1970, the city of Glasgow was to play host to one of the most famous nights in European football History.
Scottish giants and already one time European cup winners - Celtic were to take on English giants Leeds United in a mouthwatering battle of britain.
The old rivalry between Scotland and England was at it's height as the two national teams prepared to play each other in the same ground only ten days later. But this battle of Britain wasn't just about pride of one's nation and ancestry roots. This duel had a European cup final at stake, and the whole of Britain were glued to it.
136,505 exuberant fans poured through the streets of Glasgow and into the famous Hampden Park. No other game has boasted...

Celts warm up before kick off
Ronny Deila's young and mostly inexperienced side got off to an explosive start, as they scored inside the first minute of the match. Beram Kayal executed a lovely pass through to striker Leigh Griffiths, who slotted the ball through Marek Stech's legs to put the Scottish champions 1-0 up.

Dutch defeat Deila's bhoys
Ronny Deila made only four changes from the 2-0 victory at Rugby Park on Monday night. Lukasz Zaluska was given game time ahead of Craig Gordon, Adam Matthews made way for young right back Darnell Fisher. John Guidetti replaced Stefan Johansen and started in a more unique role to what we're used to seeing him. The on loan striker was utilised in a central attacking midfield role, playing behind Serbian striker - Stefan Scepovic. And due to a family grievance, Kris Commons who never travelled with the squad was replaced by young Callum McGregor...
Bold Bobby Murdoch:
The heart of the Lisbon lions
I often ask the question to the older generation of Celtic fans. "Who was the best player to grace the green and white hoops?, was it Jimmy Johnstone, was it Billy McNeill?, Was it Henrik Larsson?" And quite often I'm met with the answer - "Bobby Murdoch"The heart of the Lisbon lions
At a mere 15 years old, Bobby signed his first part time contract with Celtic. The contract consisted of £3 a week, as a metal sheet worker. He gained his footballing experience through junior side Cambuslang Rangers.
Despite signing for Celtic, Murdoch's, nor his peers' careers were set in stone. This was later blamed on poor coaching at the club, and it almost forced Bobby to jet off to Australia.
However, he got his first team debut in a cup match against Hearts in August 1962, and what a sublime debut it was. Bobby scored in a 3-1 victory, and that marked the beginning of...

Celts prosper on plastic pitch
Celtic closed the gap on leaders Aberdeen to just one point last night, as Ronny Deila's men ended Kilmarnock's hopes of claiming nine points in three games.
It was a reasonably untroubled game for the reigning champions as they welcomed back their top scorer from last season - Kris Commons for his first start since November.
Only a minute into the game and the number 15 received a knock to the...
