UK's 100 top dogs, is on ITV/STV just now, for anyone who's interested.
Well Ruby Boxer was pleased her breed finished 6th,very respectable, great Prog btw
Do you know how they rank it? Is it just the most commonly kept breeds as pets?
Owners of Dogs voted in with their favourite breed, wish i knew the full count of the votes, would make interesting reading.
Had a Staffordshire Bull Terrier (Harry) until few months ago when he passed on, such great dogs, kids loved him as did we all. Shame so many dicks get hold of them and give them a bad name.
Awww Harry looked like a lovely dog. Staffies have got a bad reputation, but it is the wrong people who have them that the problem...they are great wee dogs, brother has one , Murphy, he is just full of fun.
They really are wonderful dogs, but they’re not for everyone, need an owner who is firm but fair, and most important consistent with their training/upbringing. So full of love, often too much haha as they do like to give plenty of kisses/licks. When or if the time comes to get another dog can’t imagine I would get anything else. Only time I’ve ever cried since being a wee boy when he left my side, kids were like “I’ve never seen Dad cry”, and the wife said “Neither have I”. My daughter’s Instagram is full of pics of him or them both together and most of the comments would be along lines of her best friend and her one true love, and my wife was just as bad always calling him her baby.
Marie, he is gorgeous. Baby sitting the hairy grandwean tomorrow. My son and his Mrs off on a wee overnight, so we get to watch him. He's a rescue staffie and we absolutely adore him.
He loves coming here as well as I walk him for miles morning and late afternoon. So loving and trusting, but, you can see he had a tough time before my son got him about 3 years ago.
Lost my wee Schnauzer, Sam 3 years ago too and keep threatening to get another one. May even opt for a Staffie this time. My 60th next year maybe treat myself...
Awww I love how you call him your hairy grandwean
Heartbreaking when you lose a pet, especially dogs, they are affectionate wee souls.
You should treat yourself to another wee dog and if possible, a wee staffies, so many need rescuing and they are so loving and loyal.
So true, they’re badly overbred and not helped by fact that Staffies often have litters of anywhere between 6-10, whereas Bull Terriers, Bull Mastiffs or Bulldogs only have small litters of 1-4. So many more dogs to find homes for.
Ruby Roo Boxer met a couple of Pigs today, only the 2nd time she has met this animal, they seem to get on well
Mines disnae like the Polis.
Mooching for some chicken pakora..
My dog (love of my life) is a Chow Chow, sorry I'm of the old school not sure how to upload photos of same, but she is a real show stopper whenever I take her out, those who maybe interested can view the breed on Goggle images.
