£25m for Tiote is a lot of *

He's good but he's not that good, if he went for that then it's just a further example of the massively over inflated English market

Hearing that Darron Gibson is considering rejecting Everton to leave United on a free transfer in the summer

Now why would a player want to sit in the stand until May on a tidy wage when he could play first team football for a fairly big club on a lesser wage. Screams of money over football

Tiote is a prime example of the way the transfer market works in England nowadays. Go to an average, mid table English Premiership club, put in a few good shifts and boom, you're suddenly worth £25m the week after and all the big clubs want to sign you.

Sad state of affairs down there. Scottish football may be many things, but at least we can * control ourselves up here when it comes to transfer dealings. When you look at a squad like ours and the quality we've managed to get in for what is essentially pennies in today's world, it's remarkable.

I think Tiote is * hot but not worth £25m. He'd need to put in that kind of shift for a couple of seasons to be worth that.

I think this was in the Daily Mirror. At least the Rooney deal was.

I think I read somewhere that Pardew wont accept anything less than 10 million.

Quite shocked at that. He's been a consistent scorer wherever he's been. Far better value than most in that league.

Relatively cheap these days for a striker on his form and quality if I'm honest, a bargain really. Shame we can't afford that :54:

Harry Redknapp has sparked a massive transfer scramble for Newcastle’s Demba Ba by revealing his release clause is around HALF the £10million mooted over the weekend.

Officials at St James’ Park have been desperate to keep a lid on the fact that the striker, who has netted 15 times this season, is available for the right fee.

But asked about a £10m release clause, Spurs boss Harry Redknapp said: “I think you will find it is a lot less than that.”

Asked if was as little as £7m, Redknapp added: “Even less than that.”

Yikes...blows for Newcastle, I guess its karma for the fact they got 35 million for Andy * Carroll

He'll be for the off in the summer, or even this month.

Think it would be in Redknapp's best interests to shut his trap as well.

Arsenal want £3m Kalou after contract talks with Chelsea break down

Arsenal have made a £3million enquiry for Chelsea’s Salomon Kalou.
Talks over a new contract at Stamford Bridge have stalled over the Ivory Coast striker’s £90,000-a-week wage demands. And Arsenal are trying to take advantage by making an official approach for Kalou.

£90,000 a week for Kalou sums the Premiership up for me.

According to agent Enzo Bronzetti, PSG are serious - serious as cancer, as Snap! might say - about bagging Alex Pato.

"We are faced with expressions of intent, (Carlo) Ancelotti and Leonardo are the sponsors of Pato at PSG, AC Milan officially has never been asked, but when these rumors start to circulate there is something serious," said Bronzetti.

"This is, even if the objective of PSG was Carlos Tevez (Manchester City) a month ago. I think that the French will try three players: a striker, a midfielder-playmaker, Kaka (Real Madrid) may be, and a left-back Maxwell (Barcelona). "

Inter offer €25m plus bonuses for Manchester City's Carlos Tevez - report
The Nerazzurri are looking to hijack their city rivals' attempts to sign the Argentine, and have tabled a bid that's closer to the Citizens' valuation of the player

    Jan 10, 2012
Inter are determined to beat AC Milan to the signature of Manchester City forward Carlos Tevez, and have tabled an offer for the Argentina international, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
The Milan-Inter battle over Carlos TevezMoratti: Inter bid for Tevez is not a joke
Milito would welcome Tevez at InterMilan confirm agreement with Tevez

Club president Massimo Moratti declared on Monday evening that the Nerazzurri are serious in their attempts to sign Tevez, and Inter have now made a loan offer for the striker with the obligation to make his stay at the club permanent at the end of the season for a fee of €25 million plus bonuses.

The 27-year-old is desperate to leave City after falling out with manager Roberto Mancini, and initially appeared to be on his way to Milan after agreeing personal terms with the Rossoneri.

However, Milan have so far been unable to reach an agreement with Manchester City, and Tevez could now be on his way to Inter instead as the 2010 Champions League winners' offer is close to City's asking price for the striker.

Inter's advances have not gone down well with their city rivals, and Milan are believed to be ready to frustrate the Nerazzurri's attempt to sign Argentine youngster Paulo Dybala, currently under contract at Instituto, by joining the race for the 18-year-old's services in an act of retaliation.

QPR need a goalscorer and 2 CB's in order to stay up imo! Their midfield doesn't need improving.
