The Merseyside Derby - Liverpool (Kopites) vs Everton (the best!)

So my other/family team (Everton) haven't won at Anfield for 18 years, since Kevin Campbell slotted one at the Kop End. Before that it was Kanchleskis in 95. Our record there is that * me and my uncle almost now make a point now of EITHER letting the rest of our (KOPITE) family watch it in his front room whilst we dont even bother and drink some Bud in his Conservatory (we occasionally pop in sarcastically with a 'have liverpool scored yet?' ) When the kopites of the family ask 'What you doing staying in that back room' we always say 'dont worry we'll be here for another 18 years as well!'

OR

We end up going the only boozer not showing the match whilst the game is on, and when the barman asks why we are not watching it we laugh and say 'Its at Anfield mate, can we have another pint? Its probably 0-3 Liverpool' Thats our way of been dealing with it the last few years. Nearly always a a horrible, so if you cant beat em, join em.

It's such a certainty and * day me and my uncle almost make a macabre joke out of it. Probably watch it this year though as last time we won in 99 at Anfield it was in my Uncle's house i watched it.

Never figured out why Everton freeze at Anfield, something Carragher has spoken about.

So whats your predictions for the big game?

As someone who sees Celtic as my Mother and Everton as my father, I'm gutted Big Sam is our manager.

I'd never have guessed it's been 18 years without a win at Anfield...for that reason alone I do hope Everton win.

 

Liverpool have been in decent form at the minute so I'd say Everton will win at the weekend now hope it's a good game like these derbies.

 

Hope Everton win. Can't stand Liverpool.

 

I fancy Liverpool though there attack is on par with Man City's it's terrifying

 

I've been Anfield Derbies LITERALLY x15. Lost 11 drew 4. Never won. Sods law I went in 1999 when we lost to Liverpool first time in 5 years but it was the derby BEFORE we actually won the next season at Anfield in September 99/2000 season (The one Campbell won it for us with Gerrard/Jeffers being sent off)

Out of the 15 I've been we've took the lead FIVE TIMES but we are absolutely cursed. From Olivier Dacourt scoring after 40 seconds in April 1999 only to be cancelled out by Robbie Fowler sniffing the white line ('Eating Grass' to Gerrard Houllier) to Lescott heading in a corner after 20mins FA Cup 3rd Round only to draw 1-1, to the last time i went when it was Jermaine Beckford who put us in front but Kuyts penalty before the end cancelled that out.

Basically we've only won TWICE in 22 years, 1995 and 1999. Have Celtic ever had a draught at Ibrox like that?

We haven't even beaten Liverpool AT ALL in FIVE YEARS!

The last time we even just got a draw from there was nearly 3 years ago with Jagielka's last minute piledriver

Mad that as just mentioned on nsno.co.uk forums one of the last times i went to Anfield was an FA Cup 4th Round tie where Lescott put us in the lead.
