Martin Bain- what an absolute * of a guy. Embarrassing to watch.
Funny to watch their fans in the first episode discuss how many they would take off Brendan’s invincibles. This was just before we beat them 5-0 at their own half empty stadium

I've just watched the first episode there. That Martin Bain is a lot like David Brent from The Office! :56:

Great doc, love seeing things like this. One of the worst run clubs in Europe. Not sure if they have a 2nd series in works, but it'd be interesting to see how different it is under new ownership.

The guy has some ego, bet he loves watching himself on the tv while everyone else cringes.

Seen the first 2 episodes and the start of the 3rd.

    Enjoying it so far.

It really is a mad league the championship. You just have know clue who gonna be up there and who’s not at the start of the season.

Every game of the season is massive your heart must take a pounding supporting one of these teams :56:

Honestly a really great series! Developed a lot more respect for the Sunderland support after getting an in depth look at what they've been through lately. Ellis Short and Martin Bain, two total *.

They do have a second series in the works in fact. Fulwell73-- the production team that created the series-- are filming a second season to show Sunderland's (hopeful) push out of League One.

Seen the whole series now and thought it was excellent. Really enjoyable.
Chris Coleman seems like a nice guy but not convinced about him as a manager. Mcgeady definitely not a big fan.

Couldn't believe McGeady was publicly berating his manager in a documentary like this in the middle of the season. Made me lose some respect for him even though he was one of my favorite players years ago.

Will be a tough ask for them. Big loss yesterday ( although they were doing alright til Loovens got sent off giving away a pen.) Portsmouth are looking very strong and Luton are flying. Charlton, Barnsley, Doncaster and Peterboro will all fancy their chances as well.

A lot could change for all these teams depending on how their transfer windows go. I know the Mackems fear losing Maja. At the minute I would say a playoff place is their most likely finishing position. Which I suppose would make good TV.

I've started watching this, it was a decent watch, but there have been a lot of these recently. It's more of the same really, just with a smaller club. I think the reaction shots of the crowds are over-egged and the editing seems to piece together footage from different games, at times.

@Norm Peterson Literally just read a Sunderland fan article, comparing Bain to David Brent. :56:

Aye. Guy at work said they were showing pictures of the Hull game but it was obvious they were talking about the Brentford game.

Boy I worked with was a Sunderland fan and he used to organise trips down to see them so been to a few games when they were in the prem. Nice stadium and decent fans but the team was run into the ground.

Hard to have sympathy for these English teams that spend money they don't have and then they Are * when they get relegated. Essentially cheating so these teams deserve what they get . Maybe have a watch over the Xmas period.

Just watched the 2nd episode which was all about transfer window and trying to sign players. * me this could have been about Celtic with the penny pinching.

Only difference is they were in severe financial debt.
