After all the stress yesterday regards kt leaving -staying fees quoted wages mentioned ,i had this thought ,a bit like sponsor a panda or something .
when we have a special player who has the same love for the club as all of us and was being pursued by many clubs with the promise of scary wages , and all the moral issues of keeping them when they can earn 5 /10 times as much ,would you be prepared to sponsor a player to top up the wage in order to benefit the player for loyalty through a rise in season ticket price from club .
If it means we keep them for a few more years and allow a team to grow together ,if we where asked by the club to accept this would you think yeh probably ,maybe depends ,or cheeky c#nts .

Other fans from other clubs sponser players. At the end of the season they get a shirt signed by the player and framed as well.There is more than one sponser per player , ten again not sure how it works as in games played by player

No chance this would work if it was restricted to season ticket holders paying the extra. Giving a single player an extra £1k a week would mean every season ticket holder paying an extra grand a year. My ticket is already over £600 a year as it is without topping up a millionaires wages. Players moving on is part and parcel of football and fans shouldn’t be made to pay for this.

 

To give a realistic answer to the Op, it would take 104 people to sponsor a player £500 each just to increase that * wages by 1k per week, i doubt people would donate that much to keep a player, and even still would a player really stay over an extra grand per week? Would they *.

 

What if you do it and the player still * off? Just one of the many reasons it would never get off the ground..

Sounds like a scheme the Huns would come up with..
