Discuss Scott Sinclair! in the Celtic Chat area at TalkCeltic.net.
That video he posted looks to be a way to show that it isn't him being not available/wanting to play etc.
Everyone else off on international, think Brown said he is off on holiday as well, Scott is showing he is one of the only ones in training, keeping sharp and being available. A subtle nod to the fans I reckon.
Lennon has done well so far this season, but his insistence on using Morgan is ridiculous. Sinclair is first choice in many peoples opinions. If Johnston is getting the nod ahead, we can get behind that due to young player etc, but when his legs are tired, or it isn't working for him, it should be Sinclair taking his place. Sinclair should be taking him under his wing, along with Duff and the pair of them turning MJ in to a quality player.
Stinks that Sinclair isn't even in a match day squad, hope he knows the fans aren't impressed and are on his side here.
He will probably be in here having a nosey. We love ya Scotty bhoy.
The Morgan thing didn't work for Cluj but it looks like it got Elyounoussi in and maybe forced the board to act..
There had to be a reason to insist on turning to Morgan when we could all see he was *..
Interesting that the first domestic game since Elyounoussi came in....Morgan was on the bench and we made all 3 subs....including Hayes as a left winger. Morgan never got a sniff. Think that's pretty telling as he was a go to guy for week's before..
I agree that Sinclair should be in the team but I think the criticism of Morgan is ridiculous as well. He's a young Celtic player just trying to break into the team and he's mostly been ok. The situation with Sinclair isn't his doing and he deserves more support from what are supposed to be his own fans. It's far too early to be writing him off. There's plenty of evidence in our own team that it can take time for young guys to fulfill their potential - Christie and Forrest spring to mind.
Morgan has been pretty poor in most of his cameo's, and was downright dreadful against Cluj. He might still have a future with us but he really should have been loaned out after Elyounoussi signed.
Released for me..
I'd agree usually, but i'd have also said we should sell Christie, Mcgregor, Forrest etc, in the latter two's case Both before Rodgers, so who knows
He might have his uses down the stretch when we need to rest some..
For game's at home against the bottom 6 for example but as one of two 10's maybe..
He's way down the pecking order for me though. Miles away..
I think it's far to early to say he's pish or should be released. For a player at his stage he's been average but he's being judged harshly because most fan's want other players in ahead of him which is nothing to do with him. We're supposed to be Celtic fans so we should support all the players. A bit of realistic criticism is understandable but saying a young player is pish isn't helpful. I fear for Taylor if he isn't brilliant in his first couple of games.
He's been abject for ages. Cutting inside and playing a safe pass, zero desire to take on his man. Cowardly displays.
He has nobody to blame but himself for his current situation. He's capable of so much more but he hasn't shown it for a long time.
Think he was actually talking about Morgan there mate if you look further up this page.
Haha right enough. Stand by my comments on Sinclair though.
If he showed that effort on the pitch , might be a diff story
Rather than running to somebody then passing it backwards
Too busy scoring and assisting to look fancy
I'm speculating, but it could be the case that Lennon has been told from above, not to play Sinclair. I remember reading here years ago, a claim that Ki being in the team wasn't the manager's decision, at the time.
If he doesn't make the squad on Saturday, he's done here. No Johnston and Elyounoussi still trying to get fit..
Probably be Morgan starting with Elyonoussi on the bench.
Is Hayes out?
