Salt & Sauce

First time trying this peculiar Edinburgh dish and it's unreal. I'm a massive fan of brown sauce but even then was sceptical about this alternative to salt and vinegar on chips.

Any folk from outside Edinburgh like it? Anyone from Edinburgh prefer salt and vinegar?

 

The only way to have chips. * off with your salt and vinegar.

 

Was this before or after you sucked a big fat bag of *?

It's not bad..only ever tried it when I'm in Falkirk.Salt & sauce must be more popular the further East you go.

I do prefer salt and vinegar.

To answer yer OP I like salt and vinegar on chips with tomato sauce.

 

Tastes like there is vinegar in the brown sauce.

Never had it.

We are normal here and just have salt and vinegar. It's an Edinburgh thing not an East Coast thing

 

It's brilliant. Best of both worlds!

 

Salt n' Sauce is for absolute teuchtar bellends.

Salt n' vinegar all the way, THEN sauce if you wish.

And btw, brown sauce has got vinegar in it, so even the Edinburgh * are still putting vinegar on their chips.
