I think a fresh start under another top coach would be good for him, could be wrong tho could still be *

I don't think the issue is with the management, he's been atrocious under 2 managers now. The issue lies with himself.

A guy of his ability should be embarrassed at some of the 'efforts' he's put in this season. The 2 away games at St Mirren were absolutely pitiful.

Aye he’s no kicked a baw since the rangers game in September. I think he will improve and become a good player but it’s looking likely it will never be at Celtic

Definitely a talent but he's hot and cold even when he's at his best. Likes to float around games rather than grab them by he scruff of the neck, but he has that ability for sure.

Good player but if we get offered anything like what was touted in the last 12 months (plus a sell-on clause) then I'd be taking it.

He's had plenty of opportunities to turn it round but looks no closer to doing it.

If we can get £7 million+ for him then I think we'd be better reinvesting that and his £20-25k per week into a player who wants to be here.

The midfield missed a lot of drive this season when Christie wasn’t available I’d like to see another player similar to him/Armstrong signed

That’s a strange “for arguments sake” example. You would sell him in case he comes good & is hard to lose or replace?

I think he hasn’t been allowed to get his full fitness back a few times. He’s been thrown back in too soon.
If you honestly think he’s downed tools then fair enough but I don’t think he’s that sort of player, why would he sign a new improved deal then down tools.
There is a reason he got that deal & it wasn’t because he can’t be trusted to do his best week in week out.
There is a good reason he’s very highly thought of & that’s because on form he is irreplaceable imho for us (in our market) we just need to get him back there.

It’s also noticeable a lot of other players have struggled this season, is there a common theme?

It's not really strange, I don't think he is going to come good, but I was just pointing out that with a player like him even if he does, by some miracle, decide to start playing for us again it probably won't be long before we are back in the same boat again with him or he's punted anyway. Might as well do it now than wait.
