    The different kits have been created to reflect the history and tradition of Fiorentina and the city of Florence.

    The reason for the 4 other kits - green, white, red and blue are to represent the 4 quartieri (districts) of Florence (Santa Croce, San Giovanni, Santa Maria Novella and Holy Spirit) which compete in Calcio Fiorentina, the historic origin of pre-Association football in the city. If you look it up you’ll see some bizarre shorts :56: it’s pretty important in Florence. Over the season you’ll find they will wear all four at different points, the keeper I think does the same.

    Replica kits aren’t a huge thing in Italy and fans don’t all tend to buy and wear the hoops to matches like we do here, they would go for the purple of course.or maybe a colour of their district. So the worry fans are getting fleeced etc isn’t an issue, there isn’t a clamour to keep up with the latest shirt on the pitch.
