He’s a level above Scottish fitba. Been here 2 seasons and won 6 trophies. Celtic buy these young players so they can show their talents and then move on for a profit. Are people really that surprised he wants to move for a bigger challenge? There was no way in any circumstances he’d be here for 4 seasons.

Celtic(Rodgers/Lawwell) have put Boyata & Dembele in difficult positions imo. If we’d got players in first, these players wouldn’t have to act like what they have done. I don’t blame them. It’s all been managed terribly. Yes they have contracts but that means absolutely * all. And everyone surely knows that. It’s only there so the players have value.

Makes the most sense ... which is exactly why we won’t do it.

As the Bunnet said.. ‘A verbal agreement means nothing in business’..

He needs to dry his eyes and get on with it..

Not sure how this ones going to end.

If he doesnt get his move for what ever reason i hope we dont end up in a Boyata situation.
They sign contracts and should honour them unless both sides agree to end the contract (be that by a bid coming in etc).

If both side dont agree then we move on till the next bid,if a player sulks because he does not get a move drop him end of problem.

We all saw how the Boyata situation ended, back playing after letting us down in one of the most important games of the season which imo was a * disgrace.

I think Rodgers has shown a weakness there and other players may feel they can behave in the same way as Boyata and be allowed to return to the team afterwards.

Its a * joke this window and it seems some players are exploiting the managers weakness,i really hope Dembele doesnt go down that road we dont need anymore of this crap and lets hope all these silly tweets mean * all.

Can understand people saying there is no plan in place for when these players leave but up until 2 days ago there was nothing to suggest he’d be away this window and to find someone as good as him with a day to go is impossible

Also get the fee agreed first..

Otherwise it’s a case of ‘Let’s have a look at what you could have won!’

Rodgers has spoken at length on numerous occasions in the past about a 2-year cycle for Dembele and that he expected him to leave in summer 2018. With Boyata he's told us that he didn't want to sign a contract extension as he wanted to assess his options after the World Cup.

Therefore replacements for both should have been lined up for both if they were to leave. It's been a failing in the recruitment team not to have covered all eventualities given how predictable the situation was.

Both are quality on their day and would be included in our strongest XI but keeping both at the club when they're pining for moves away is the worst case scenario for all parties. We run the risk of either or both downing tools and the possibility of dressing room unrest. It's been extremely poorly managed by us.

I blame Boyata 100% we had plenty of time to replace him, two or three days to replace Moussa is just madness.

Hope so. We've left ourselves unnecessarily exposed to the possibility of it though.

So can we expect the GB to display a "Dembele not fit to wear the jersey" banner on Sunday then?
If not its double standards !!

Would fully expect him to go on strike or sulk about till January if he doesn't get his move today what a sad state of affairs!

I think Rodgers has enough experience as a Top Manager to manage the situation, far from ideal tho..

At the end of the day both Boyata and Dembele will just have to get on with it at least until January, they are both still getting paid money us normal people can only dream about. And so far Boyata has played very well in the last 2 games

First off, it was a 40 million pound game. We should have had someone lined up before that, we knew he had a year left and add to that the World Cup.

But he could have said you know what I will play for that game and then go but no he said * you im no playing.

He is to * blame. That clear enough for you?
