Barely get a pre-season for * like this anymore but... pick a player and name what you think his most monumental goal was and why.

    Henrik Larsson

Without doubt this for me and he scored a * load of goals for us. The goal that got us through to a European final, a player that was just world class and the last time that we could claim to be a force on the world stage for me.

Sums his full Celtic career up for me, absolute professional, the man you could count on when the going got tough. I don’t think I’ve ever celebrated a goal more. It just felt unreal at the time.

My Da picked my brother up and nearly put him through the ceiling, cracked his head off it a belter :56:

The goal that kept us in the title race. One of my favourite ever Celtic goals.

If it’s monumental in terms of importance ... (not necessity skill or flair)

Then it’s Brattbakks goal in May 1998 against St Johnstone to secure the points for the league and more importantly stop the old Huns from doing what we are aiming to do over the next 2 seasons.

You know, always forgot how crucial Sammy’s touch was in that goal as well. Went absolutely * bonkers at that man :56:

After the Brattbakk goal in 98 I’d go for

    Naka against Mancys
    And

Wee jamesys late one against Shakter Hairy Scary to put us into the CL groups

Even better .... I was at both those games !

My all time favourite Celtic goal and is always the first that springs to mind when anyone asks a question like this.

Probably my favourite footballing memory growing up in all honesty. Never felt a rush like seeing that go in.

John Hartson scored so many big goals it was unreal, one that’s seldom mentioned, when he was going downhill... winner against the Jambos in Strachan’s first season to win the league. Perfect ending to a great Celtic career.
