To be honest with Ajer only being 17, we could sign him then loan him back to Start for the next Norwegian season, with him coming back to us when it ends in January(I think?)

Then still get Mocinic and get him into the side. Both look to be leaders(captains at young ages) and both play in a number of areas across the midfield.

I know it means adding more midfielders but if they are better quality than what we have then who cares?

Exactly. Plus we have a few players we should be looking to move on anyway.

Don't care how good the guy is going to be in 5 years.....we have shifty and cole as strikers when the thumb is out and izzy and efe as back up for defence.

But aye chase more youngsters for the bench.

    Less than that.

I've not seen him play once but from the impression you get reading up on him and his career so far, he is probably better quality than the majority in the SPL and in our development squad.

Even his pure physical stature impresses, imagine him bulked up after a couple of seasons. The way Bitton has

Yes please, could see this happening.
Maybe I'm not reading enough papers but don't think the lads anywhere near as hyped as Odegaard was. Bit of luck and we may just sneak him in.

This is the kind of market our Ronie should be exploiting!

Aye great.....like i said...what the * do we do with strikers and defence in the mean time.

Its not like we have money to burn and there is going to be plenty of other signings.
The club is bloated enough as it is without someone else who will one day start for us.

This could prove to be a Odegaard type move except on a lesser scale. Highly rated, young, clearly has talent and physicality. If all goes well, sign him up!

OK we don't buy him and let him get snapped up for pittance that we could of bought him for. Realistically Start will demand a low fee so there be still funds

We should just buy him. There is very little risk with a 17 year old who will cost under a million.

He can't be a wonderkid if we have on trial. He would have been bought by now.

He's not coming to sit. He'll use the last half of this campaign to settle and get used to Scotland, but he should be a starter from next year on. I'm really high on Ajer, I think he has a lot that other younger players coming from Norway haven't had.

Did we? I thought we put a offer in for him.

If its true that we did have Odegaard on trial and this applies to Ajer then my gut tells me he is sizing up his options like Odegaard. If this kid is really what people make out we shouldn't be giving this kid a trial he should be signed without hesitation therefore I think its a anti-climax while waiting on the frustrational * up by the Board by not getting him.

He's captain for his club at 17, He's scored 9 in 18 for a team that finished in the relegation playoff, he's 6 '5 foot. These early signs show promise
