Going to be leaving us with a big task for the summer window, minimum we will need

New Winger
Permanent RB
At least 2 CBs
And let's see how Bain gets on but possibly a GK too.

Playing a skysports game

Brand new "show" for deadline day started at 9pm there. Celtic managed to make 3 signings in last couple hours, let's see how long this new show takes to actually mention these deals.
I'm reckoning there is at least 40minutes of made up rumours and nonsense before we actually get to real signings.

Assuming Toljan joins, it's been a decent window. Strengthened the attack and finally got a new right back.

However come summer we're still going to need a right back and two centre backs. And that's just the defence.

 

I'd be expecting us to get 1 or 2 in like this for the summer..

Realistically in the summer we'll need

A right back. Toljan if no buy option is obviously a stop gap for target's we've been unable to get on permanents..

Boyata is away and we may see Benkovic on loan again, although unlikely...so I'd like to see us target a pre contract in this department for at least 1 player. I imagine we'll get Sandler on loan or something similar in the summer..

Sell Ntcham and a new box to box midfielder..

New keeper/Bain

Toljan or new right back and Perez/Ralston
Ajer and New centre halves
KT and possible backup for him

McGregor/Broony/Kouassi
Christie/new midfielder/Henderson
Rogic/Shved/Johnston

Forrest/Arzani
Edouard/Bayo/Griff
Sinclair/Weah

Bit of work to do but doesn't look as drastic written down. Couple of pre contracts in, QUOTE or 2 new loans and some clever recruitment in the mould of Shved and Bayo at the back and we'll be looking decent..

 

The Toljan deal definitely makes it a decent window, whether it's on loan or not we need more defenders in - the summer will be a * but we cross that bridge when we get to it.

The fresh faces and added competition for places should raise everyone's game, and we will be car less predictable for opposition teams.

Now announce Wanyama so we can book our place in the last 16

 

Also quite a few either gonna be shipped out last minute tonight or by the summer with a few contracts up.....which is well needed..

No mention of gutman, Perez, shved, any other deals within the league

If Toljan indeed comes, which still isn't confirmed at this point, and if we have an option to buy, and if the guy does well here, and if we decide to use it then yes. Now lets imagine one of these things don't work out.

It took two years since Lustig became visibly past of his peak for our scouting team to come up with something. They surely won't find a new RB in time for the european qualifiers if Toljan doesn't stay or doesn't arrive at all.

What is the cheap solution? An Izaguirre 2.0. It is not as if this hasn't been done before.

Regardless, even if all plays well, we will be left with the same disastrous central defenders that costed us CL football the season.

This is a bit worrying too. The deadwood pile only grows. Hayes (a lovable fella, sadly it didn't work out), Hendry, Benyu, some youngsters with little chance of getting playing time as Miller, etc. The one the could be most useful in the first team squad was precisely the only one that got loaned out.

 

Yeah I hope so. I would have rathered that we got signings in for the cl qualifers etc.

The short term loans don’t help us unfortunately for that but have definitely helped us going forward for the rest of the season.

The thought of losing Benkovic, Weah, Burke when their loans expire and then our own players who’s contracts are expiring such as Boyata and Lustig means there will be a serious rebuilding job. But as you say hopefully we will get some deals sorted before hand. Hopefully we will get Weah for another 12 months come the summer. Can’t see us getting Benkovic or Burke back though unfortunately, although both speak very highly of the club.

 

I wouldn't worry about Benyu or Miller..

Both will be on fuckall..

Hayes, Mulumbu, Lustig, Izzy, Gordon, Compper and more will be gone in the summer i think..

 

It isn't ideal but we'll be getting loan's coming back in ourselves to assess and add a freshness..

Weah will stay I'm pretty sure..

It is a rebuilding job but all club's have to do it..

I'm pretty satisfied with our window to he honest..

If Benkovic and KT were injury free right now...most of us would be happy with Toljan coming in as our final bit of business..

 

Lustig won’t be offered a new deal is all I’m saying, the fact we’ve been linked with numerous right backs and that Ralston was ahead of him when we came back from the break says it all.
