Discuss James mcCarthy in the Transfer Rumours area at TalkCeltic.net.
Don't think he did mate.
hmmm thats down to me not having a telly lol ive seen it on a few social media sites and kerrydale street too so i took it for gospel sorry.
He said there wouldn't be any marquee signings, which I don't think McCarthy falls under but still doubt it's happening.

Would be a great signing and would be beneficial to both parties.
He needs to find fitness again after a spell out and would add quality to the team. Steady and a good ball playing midfielder. I think he would add balance to our midfield.
Rate him highly it’s been a shame he has had injuries but I don’t want to get him on another 6 month loan with no option to buy. Them deals are * pointless.
Would love him here on a permanent bases.
Nah, he didn’t.. he said marquee.
* sake, they still no got any tellies up in Denny?
We have Brown and Ntcham (plus Eboue and Bitton) as tidy midfielders who don't score often. What's the point in adding McCarthy to that?
It’s the beginning of the end for Broonie & a fully fit McCarthy would add much more to the squad than any of the others do at present..
It's a deal we should do. But we're not doing "marquee" signings, and it would be hard to argue McCarthy wouldn't be one.
Think it's a veiled dig at Scott Brown to be honest.
I suspect Eboue will be sold as soon as a buyer can be found, Brown of course is approaching the end of his time as an everyday player and may even leave in the summer and we really do not know how much we can expect from Biton given how long he has been out. I would think a 6 month loan with an option to buy would be idea.
Eboue out for season, Bitton just coming back into squad, Brown not been the same this season and Ntcham far too hot and cold
What's a marquee signing ? is it 34yr old davis and 36yr old Defoe and 35 yr old Yaya Toure ? Star Sixes more like.
Would love him here.
Feel we need someone like him in the midfield.
Think he'd be a great signing, might take him a wee while to get back up to speed but if fully fit for next season he'd be ideal replacement for Brown if we could fit McGregor in there too.
Would love him as Brown's replacement if he's passed his injuries
Would also be great to have another life long supporter playing for us,it's no surprise our best 3 players this year are Tierney,McGregor and Forrest.Wouldn't be surprised if Christie has been a fan all his years too the way he's played so far.
Christie comes from a Celtic family.
More than can be said for 2 of your examples
Can't see us bringing in any more forward players ,
Younger players we have been linked with and would probably move on in the positions we need to strengthen.
Someone said to me recently that McGregor comes from a Hun family and I said they were talking * because he’s played for Celtic all his life.
Was I wrong?
